15: I Power Up, And Test It (To Galactic Effect)

I awoke back in the suite, now fully repaired, and my head back on Coral's lap. I looked around. "Where's Mark and the rest?" I asked. "Out sparring. It's just us..." she said, patting my mask.

"What's with you and putting my head on your lap..." I muttered. She giggled. "Come on Ten, it's not like we're doing it all the time."

And yet she had encased me in a white coffin made outta cosmic energy. "You're just making sure I don't bolt like last time..." I muttered.

In response, she gave me a smile, this one having murder written all over it. "Try to escape, I dare you~" She trailed out those last words, caressing my head lightly.

"Girl, you just asked for it." I said, flexing my energy to match with hers.

30 Minutes of Intense Energy Clashing Later...

I lay on her lap, too exhausted to move. She herself was leaning on the couch, panting from the exertion. "I hate you..." she groaned.

"Forgive me, but I have the emotions of an innocent, pure - " she stifled a laugh. I glared.

"Teen. And you're just messing it up." I said, sitting up.

She reached out a hand. "The heck are you doing?" I asked, about to brush it away.

"What are those white stripes on your mask?" she asked. "Gimme a mirror." I said.

Moments later, I was looking at Mask Ver. 2.

From the eyeholes to where my mouth was supposed to be, white lines intersected, making a triangle. "How the hael..."

"Your mask looked like that after you degraded into that... thing." she said. "Descent." I said.

She nodded. "A fitting name..." I shrugged. "If Override's on for too long, the negative emotions will overwhelm me. Or, when I have a sudden jab of painful memories, or if I have a fatal wound. Like before..." I trailed off, remembering my rampage. "What sucks about it is that I have virtually no control over myself, yet I see everything with my own eyes..."

I looked at my hand, which also had a white upside-down triangle as well. A circle intersected the triangle, making it a hella similar to the sign I saw in the Book Of Peace.

"The hell is this..." I muttered. "Your aura seems more potent as well..." she noted, reaching out her own to touch mine. It recoiled on touch. Which flashed my memory back to Henry, when we fired our respective blasts.

"What happened back there, our energies resonating?" I asked. She shrugged. "Hell's bells ring if I know."

I gripped her hand, channeling energy into mine. She reflexively retaliated, and the resulting energy clash blew our hands apart.

Smoke emanated from my palm, but I paid it no heed. Coral however whipped her hand about until it had ceased. "Then what happened back then, what was it..." I muttered, clenching my smoking hand and extinguishing the smoke.

"Pay no heed now Ten. The Aces of nearly all the Trinities are dead. And now Darkuon's the main problem." It didn't take a hare's brain to figure out whom she was referring to. "Larry?"

She nodded. "He refers to himself as leader of the Darkin, a race I do not know." she said. Even I was baffled. The word Darkin was a first.

"We'll never know until we fight him." I said, looking at the triangle on my hand. Mark came through that instant, his face white as snow.

"We've got a Universal problem..." he said.

I looked, stunned at the computer screen.

There was Larry in all his infernal glory, now sporting a demonic look. Eyes glowing dark blue, feathered gray wings and colored wholly in black, it was quite a intimidating demonic look.

"Add the fact that he's absorbed part of your energy, he's near-unstoppable." added Mark. Adria and Time both nodded grimly.

"And how the hell are you getting this?" asked Coral. "I've experimented with various energy technology. This bot can withstand the strongest of energy storms. It's a live feed too." Mark explained.

As we watched, Larry - Darkuon - concentrated a ball of swirling navy, black, and yellow energy, firing it somewhere. "Arise... Bulenihav!"He roared.

A massive portal tore through time and space, heading to who knows where.

But we all knew that wasn't the end. I steeled my nerves for whatever monstrosity it was about to release.

From the portal, a clawed pale hand thrust out. Weird designs lined it, as well as a unholy aura of power. Coral suddenly collapsed, holding her head in what seemed to be agonizing pain.

Another thrust forward, this one a complete black. It pulled itself out, and as the head appeared, nearly everyone fainted from pure terror.

A sculpture's worst nightmare, it was white like a corpse, with a black mouth, filled with razor teeth. Its head was a spiral of precious metals, blazing with corrupt energy.

It continued climbing out, until it stopped at the torso.

Coral screamed in agony. I knelt, setting a hand on her head... and experiencing a level of pain I had felt very rarely. 'The... hell...' I ground my teeth, trying to direct her pain into mine.

Sadly it worked.

While she was looking around in blank idiocy, I was wading through a sea of lava-hot agony and numbing pain.

After about 3 minutes of that tormenting experience, I looked up, seeing that monstrosity, Bulenihav in all its demonic glory. The pain had receded slightly, but it still felt like I was pushing a planet from a black hole (Actually did once... was one of the times I felt such agony...)

No one spoke. The demonic thing couldn't be just described in words. It was literally out of this world, and its energies were corrupting everything.

Me and Coral managed, but I was clutching my mask, trying to drown all that pain into it. The two beings on screen seemed to be talking to each other, so I turned up the volume.

"Wyvala havas zecar sahardas zefar..."Said Bulenihav, his mouth not moving. "I have summoned you, Corrupter, to aid me in the Universe's recreation."Said Darkuon. I wondered how the hell he could understand the guy. I thought it was plain gibberish.

"Varcon, Zefar aidela zecar."It replied. Darkuon nodded, obviously pleased. "You may live in a dimension of your own, and I may make use of your energy to empower my forces, and myself." Said Darkuon.

The monstrosity nodded once more, and retreated back into the portal.

Then he looked directly at us, or rather, the bot. "If you have seen this Chaos Incarnate, then know you have no hope of defeating me, especially now that I have the power of the Void in my hands."

A blast of energy shot towards the bot, but Mark leaped at the controls, and the bot teleported to us. "The Void..." I muttered. Adria was also concerned. "If he managed to snag a monster of the likes of Bulenihav, then he must have a truly massive amount of energy."

"The Void is a separate dimension, filled to the brim with monsters of terrifying power and strength. I've fought many a monster from it before, but never have I seen the likes of that particular one..." I muttered.

Mark apparently knew that thing better than I did. "Bulenihav, the Corrupter..." he muttered, visibly shaking in fear.

I faced him swiftly. "You know that thing?" I demanded. He could only manage a shaking nod. "He's... he's special, even among the monsters in that hellhole..." said Mark, still trembling.

"Save the details Mark. Don't push it." I said. He shakily nodded. That Bulenihav must be a truly terrifying creature to make even Mark tremble with fear. I looked at my hand, and on the white triangle and circle. Coral noticed. "Having thoughts on how to defeat him?"

That woman had a sharp eye, and it was poking me in all sorts of places...

"I'm thinking brutal, frontal, all-out assault on Darkuon, while you guys handle that Corruptor." I suggested. They all looked at me with wide eyes. "It ain't bad... just on a whole new level of through-the-roof insanity." I said.

Mark then did something just like that: he laughed, a loud, cheerful laugh. "That's the Tenrof Sacrilaron that I know."

"And you are not the Mark I know." I retorted. Seriously, he was creeping me out, and that's not a good thing.

We all laughed. I was laughing at my own stupidity.

"So, does that mean I get the dibs on the shuttle couch?" asked Mark.

"Black Creation."

A barrage of hammers, gauntlets and rubber duckies assaulted him.

Mark was on the wheel, still traumatized about the beating we gave him.

I was in space, flying alongside the ship.

"Darkuon's up ahead, in the Black Death galaxy cluster." buzzed Mark in the earpiece. 'Why the hell do I forget to remove this damn earpiece every time...' I thought.

I looked ahead. The galaxy cluster looked more like a black hole than a cluster, since black antimatter took up at least 90% of the entire cluster. "Got something on radar... and it ain't friendly." said Mark.

I flew closer to the cockpit. Yeah, he was shivering. "Needed a warmup anyways." I muttered.

Black Trinity pulsing off my fists, I glared at the threat.

"Darkuon sarak zecar, Chaos Incarnate."Said an unearthly voice.

"Do you speak English?" I yelled.

Silence.

"ENGLISH MOTHERFUCKER DO YOU SPEAK IT!" I roared.

More silence.

"Oh well, scratch the Samuel L. Jackson approach..." I muttered.

"He has told me of your prowess..."Continued the voice.

I was confused. "Uh... Ten, what the hell is it talking about?" asked Mark.

That was the problem, slightly. It was still speaking that weird language, but now I could understand it a bit in the back of my head. How I could do that now, was beyond me. 'I never can understand myself and my own limits, even after 13 years...' I thought.

"Guys, get out the shuttle." I ordered.

They did as told.

"Tell me, why aren't you suffocating in vaccum space?" asked Adria, Time, and Coral at once.

Mark shrugged. "I specialize in nanobots and their capabilities. Right now I have a type of bot that supplies me with oxygen and energy in space." he explained. "And we still have that voice to worry about." he added.

I sighed. "I thought you all would know what kind of monstrosity could make that sorta unearthly noise." I said.

"I am Bulenihav, the Corrupter." boomed the voice.I translated.

Now they made a reaction. They all shivered in fear. "So now you've introduced yourself, now what?" I asked.

A portal opened up, tearing a hole in space. Chains at the ready, I steeled myself.

A clawed black hand shot out, grabbing for me. "He's all yours guys! Let him have it!" I roared, twirling one chain around the group, and another at the hand. "The Haelare you - " They yelled at once, before I tossed them into the portal. Tugging on the other chain, I lashed out with a Black Trinity-infused side kick, smashing the claw back into the portal.

"Have fun in there..." I muttered, a bit worried for them.

Pulling out a Trans-Link from my jacket, I clicked the 'Fast-Travel' button, and hurled it towards the ship. It disappeared in a flash of white.

'Now for you Larry...' I muttered, heading for the cluster.

I was assaulted by negative energies the moment I stepped within the range of the first galaxy. Like a sandstorm, the energy bit into my skin like sand, interfering with my energies.

'Damn...' Holding up an arm, I weathered the onslaught, making my way towards the center. My earpiece vibrated. "Ten here."

"Ten! He's ALOT more dangerous than we thought! He's throwing freaking suns at us and blasting beams that make an Abyssal Consumer's Gluttony Cannon look like a spark!" yelled Mark.

"Hey, at least you don't have to fly through an entire galaxy cluster filled with negative matter. This stuff can weaken you seriously." I retorted, slowly going through the maelstrom.

"And he's just toying with us!" he shouted. My ear rang with pain. "You wanna switch places? Be my fucking guest." I growled.

That shut him up for a while. "Why are you such a bother at times..." I muttered, continuing through the maelstrom.

30 Minutes Later...

I finally reached the center, and it really was taking its toll. I was now barely able to keep myself upright, and was weakening by the second. 'I hate this cluster...' I thought.

"Black Trinity, Override."

With a surge of energy, I was rejuvenated. "Now to clear this galaxy of the energy's influence..." I said, looking at all the stars and planets that were near invisible due to the black hue they had, thanks to the negative energies.

"Black Hell."

The result was quite astonishing. Originally it possessed the power to crack a planet in half, but now that power was multiplied. Had it been as it were, the entire galaxy would have kissed my fist goodbye, but I had altered it a bit, so only the negative energy would be affected.

Like blowing away dust, they were cleared away.

Mark also sounded in my earpiece at the same time. "We've managed to force him into another form, but it seems like he's been weakened!" he said.

I sighed with relief. "The negative energies must have been the source for the Corrupter's power. Or maybe's he's trying to trick you lot, so stay on guard." I warned.

"A-okay Ten, we'll keep a look out. And Coral says hi." he said.

"You had to add that..." I said, mask going back on my face.

I headed for the next, thinking,

'I need a cup of coffee...'
