A/N: So I know I probably shouldn't start a new story right now, not with my focus on Sora, but I'm going to because I love this idea and I think I can take it somewhere... eventually. Right now this story is just in its baby stages and this really rough, but I wanted share it with you guys. This story does have vampires and slayers and witches in it, but it will in no way connect to any of my other stories. So let me know what you think. Please leave me some lovely reviews!

Prologue

Jinx

I had never dated anyone so sweet and beautiful in my life.

Lyric walked slowly beside me, his hand twined around mine, his long silvery white hair flowing around his waist, brushing against my arm. He turned to me, smiling, his beautiful smile making my heart soar, his bright magenta eyes rimmed in gold twinkling back at me.

The light caught his teeth just right, reflecting perfectly of his beautifully sharp canine teeth. I pulled him slowly to a stop and drew him close to my chest. "Lyric," I whispered.

Lyric gazed up at me with his beautiful eyes. "Yes Jinx?" he asked.

"I love you," I said softly and pulled his lips up to mine.

Lyric kissed back slowly, reaching up to wrap his arms around my neck, parting his lips just enough for me to slip my tongue past. I let my tongue caress his, tenderly. I pulled my tongue back to lick along his sharp teeth. Lyric nipped my tongue and sucked the blood into his mouth. He smiled against my lips and stood on his tiptoes to kiss me deeper.

"Alright you two," I heard a deep chuckle and I looked up to see my older brother, Eon, standing at the back door of the house.

I'd been in the midst of showing Lyric the garden when I decided his lips looked more interesting.

Lyric pulled away from me slowly, smiling licking his lips. "Delicious," he whispered.

I sighed and pulled my little boyfriend into the house, moving past Eon. Lyric and I had been together since his 'transfer' to my high school in the middle of the year. Lyric, of course, said he'd been homeschooled his entire life and wanted a taste of a real school and a real life. That was the story I believed before I found Lyric in a dark corner of the library, trying to force his fangs away. Lyric thought his secret was blown, but I have a secret of my own. My whole family is witches; at least it was something that my parents passed down to my older brother and me before they died.

Lyric's real reason for attending school even though he's over three hundred years old is he got lonely. He told me that he has an older brother, but Jesper abandoned Lyric soon after their turning and he has been alone since. I can only imagine what is must feel like to live for three hundred years without anyone to care about.

What started off as an awkward friendship, quickly blossomed into teenage love. I've been head over heels for Lyric since the first time we kissed and now, I'm prepared to spend the rest of my life with him, granted I plan to live longer than an average human, I want Lyric to turn me into a vampire.

Lyric reached down and grasped my hand, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Hello, earth to Jinx," he said sweetly. "Did I kiss away some brain cells?" he asked playfully.

I just smiled at him, giving him a soft peck on the cheek. "I want to show you where I work my magic," I said, then turned to Eon who had walked back into the kitchen. "E, I'm taking Lyric up to the attic, then I'm going to walk him back to his place."

Eon looked surprised. "Lyric isn't staying for dinner?" he asked.

Lyric shook his head. "I can't tonight, there's something I have to do." He said.

Eon nodded, his eyes suspicious but he went back into the kitchen to finish cooking. "I really wish I could convince you to stay," I said.

"Not tonight, remember, I told you that there are a lot of slayers in town tonight and if they come looking for me I don't want to get you or your brother hurt, you guys have been great to me." He said, looking a little ashamed.

I smiled a gripped his hand tightly, leading him slowly up the stairs to the attic. This was the room that my parents taught Eon and me our first spells in and we continue to use it as the epicenter of all of our magic. We keep all of our potion ingredients up here and the things to brew them with. We also have a handy book of spells that has been passed down in our families for generations, each generation adding something new to it to help protect the next generation.

I opened the door and let Lyric in, this was the first time that I'd ever let anyone this close to my secret before, but I knew I could trust Lyric not to tell anyone, he knew the consequences. "This is amazing," he said.

The room was covered in magic talismans to help protect the house, it smell heavily of herbs, and tables were covered with information on all kinds of things from simple love spells to complex potions.

"My parents taught Eon and me how to harness our magic in this very room." I said, letting my hand trail slowly across the backs of the chairs around the table.

"I've never been in a witches layer before," Lyric said, a smile on his face, slowly moving around the room, admiring all of the little nooks and crannies.

"Well, I've never let anyone in here before," I said, pulling him close to me.

Lyric snuggled close to me, pressing his face into my chest. "Jinx, this has been a lovely day, and I have loved meeting Eon and seeing your home but I should go…" Lyric said, pressing a tender kiss over my heart.

"Wait, Lyric, I want to do something before you go," I said.

Lyric looked up at me with those beautiful eyes. "What is it?"

"When a witch loves someone, we give them a special mark." I said, pulling his wrist to my lips and kissing it gently.

"Oh really?" Lyric said gently.

"Really," I said.

"Hmmm," he pressed his nose to my chest again. "I think I like the idea of that, as long as you don't mind me putting my mark on you."

I kissed his forehead and held him tight. "I'd like that," I said.

I pulled him down onto the antique couch and held his wrist in both of my hands. I let my magic build in my fingertips and traced them gently over the pale skin of his inner wrist. When I pulled away, I revealed a simple, but elegant, double infinity.

I looked down at my own wrist, and an identical mark rested on my inner wrist. Lyric looked down at the identical marks and smiled. "Jinx, it's beautiful,"

"You're turn," I said.

Lyric looked up at me and slid into my lap so he was straddling my hips. "Head up," he whispered, leaning in slowly. I leaned back and took a deep breath.

I felt the soft pressure of his sharp canines against my throat, his breath was cool over my skin. He bit my skin gently, and I barely felt a sting. He gently sucked at my neck until I felt dizzy, pulling away when he felt I was going to pass out. "Sorry, you taste amazing," he said softly, taking a moment to kiss the bite wounds. "Your turn Jinx," he whispered, reaching up to his own throat and running his sharp fingernail along the thin membrane.

Blood spilled along his pale skin. I leaned forward, suddenly intrigued by the contrast of crimson on his alabaster skin. I let my lips run gently along his shoulder, making Lyric shudder. His blood tasted so sweet. I took a hesitant mouthful of his blood and swallowed it. It tingled a little going down but it felt so good.

"I love you," Lyric whispered.

I pulled away and rested my chin on his shoulder, a tingling moving up my neck. "I love you too Lyric,"
