MALE Atticus-Giant sword. Strength and exceptional speed.
MALE Ascent-Has the ability to fly, and ground crushing powers.
FEMALE Inversion-The ability to switch two objects at the same time to the opposites place.
MALE Fusion-Can fuse two superheroes powers into one but the other loses their power for a short while.
MALE Magnitude (AKA Fission from early years)-Has ability over the ground and land.
FEMALE Kinesis-Can manipulate electricity.
Villains:
FEMALE Ember-Has power over fire.
FEMALE Hybrid- can partly change himself into an animal, mythical, extinct, and real.
MALE Crysis-Can make an illusion of your worst fears.
MALE Frost-Ice powers.
FEMALE Mist-Can shroud the group with mist, which is poisonous to whoever is attacking them: Good getaway. can make people hidden.
MALE Jade-Can pull precious metal out of the ground and has complete control over it.
CH 1
Ascent's P.O.V
I slam down to the ground, taking Hybrid with me. He changes back to his normal form, bleeding from several gaps. I grin at him.
"Want some more ol buddy?"I ask him mockingly.
He charges, and at the last second, he turns part Rhino. Fortunately, my powers to fly seem to save me and I'm up in the air. Unfortunately, he predicted that, turned part dragon, and smacked his tail straight into my body. I stumble and crash to the ground again.
"Not so powerful are you now?"he says, taunting. I get up, but see a wide wound in my chest. He breathes fire over me, but he misses. Pain jolts through me when I try to move, but I escape in time. Furious, Hybrid turns into a rhino again and decides to end me. He's nearly right on top of me when he's thrown in the other direction by an unknown force. I look up and see Inversion switching him with other objects before he has the chance to move. When he charges at her, she just switches him with a car two hundred feet away. Now he's farther than he started.
With her rage, she forgets to look around, and is thrown into the air, and then slammed to a nearby building by Atticus. But Hybrid's tough. She barrels out before Atticus can react, and throws him to a nearby parking lot. I hear Inversion scream and try to get to him, but it's too late. Atticus let's out a grunt as he gets impaled by the Rhino's horn. No! I speed towards Hybrid and hit her furiously. I grab Atticus's huge sword and start battering her with it. She retreats, when Inversion switches him with a crane and she's suddenly suspended four hundred feet in the air and then dropped, where I find her and let the sword sink into her stomach. She lets out a scream and turns dragon, flying away, pouring blood.
Inversion rushes to help the mortally wounded Atticus.
I look back and I see the hotel start to go up in flames.
I turn around and see Jade listening to something, probably a comm. He turns around and dashes off and around a corner.
I follow him and see the rest making their escape. I don't call the others, because the people in the hotel need them.
As follow them I see Ember look back and know they have seen me. I couldn't take them, but I could find their base. After a few right turns they go left. I round that corner, but they were nowhere to be found. I fly higher and look for them, but I don't see them. I fly back to the hotel.
Ember's P.O.V.
I snap my leg around, slamming him to the wall. Blood trickles down the back of his neck and he is quiet. Dead. I like to get messy. Get blood on my hands. I have the others do the big things, blowing up buildings, planting bombs, etc. I do the combat. I like it that way.
I hear rumbling beneath my feet and know Magnitude has come. I turn around and look past the doors of the hotel, Magnitude is charging at me. I spin on my heel and dart across the lobby, avoiding the cracks he places for me. A hole gapes where I was about to land. I twist severely and kick off the wall, tossing myself to the left and rolling up quickly.
I jump out of the hotels doors and stare. Magnitude has risen the ground and is standing at least 50 feet in the air. Mistake. I spot lots of thin branches in the heap and press my hand to it. Flames spread like rockets. I focus my energy and they race to the top, causing Magnitude to jump off.
I speed to him and kick him square in the stomach before he can land. He flies back. I run to hit him again but he flicks his hand up, causing a wall of concrete to rise. Instead of smashing into it head first, I leap and do a flip over the top.
As I land, he knocks my legs out beneath me and elbows me hard, sending me sprawling onto the pavement. He jumps onto to me, but I twist and plant my legs firmly on his chest before extending and launching him back. He looks weary and I can tell the luck's on my side.
I grab his arms and ignite. His skin starts boiling and I see blisters swell and pop before he screams and smashes his head into mine. I step back and lick my bleeding lip. I grin.
He lashes out with his heel, clipping me on the side. He jumps onto me and we wrestle for control. I'm too concentrated on his next move that I can't ignite, and I think he knows that. I see him smile. I weaken my hold and let him think he's got me. Then I bite him hard on the arm, and untangle myself before raking my sharpened nails across his face.
I back up. He tries to get up and I launch myself on top of him, digging my elbow into his solar plexus and driving the air out of him, making him black out.
I admire my handiwork, and think out whether I should end this game, or let him live and continue this fun later.
Kinesis slams into me, and I get launched close to the hotel. Electricity, the one thing I'm not good at fighting. I could normally take her, but I wasn't about to take chances. I back up closer to the hotel and put my hand on it.
"Kinesis, you and your pathetic group of heroes. We're better than you. You know that don't you. You can't stop us."
"Ember, walk away from the building."
"Ain't happening."
I emit a large flash of concentrated fire. While she's blinded I ignite the bottom of the hotel and dash inside for cover. I press a button on my comm and speak into it.
"Evacuate now, mission accomplished. Base entrance 27BX. Good work fellas, time to head home."
I dash through the building, lighting things on fire. By the time I leave the building and rejoin with my team, the hotel is almost completely consumed with flames and the rest will be quickly licked up.
Frost, Mist, Crysis, Jade, and Hybrid run with me as we make our escape.
"Hey Ember, Ascent's following." Frost says over the comm.
"Yah," agrees Mist, "I can see him from here."
I glance over my shoulder and sure enough, Ascent was flying after us about 20 meters back.
We take a few turns until we come upon our street. We jump into a smoke store. Then we make our way to the end of the room and move a cabinet. Where it used to be, now is a trapdoor. We open it and jump in. I turn to the wall, press a switch, and the cabinet moves back into place. We are now nowhere to be found.
