I was watching the Greatest Tank battles, and it has inspired me into making this fictional story. Not really a story, but a narration of the war. I hope you like it!

Also, I'm terrible at making factions and providing backgrounds. Like why did the Unity think the Nexus did everything? Why this, why that? Don't ask me. Look the other way and I might revise this later :)

Tank measurements in terms of groups:

Squadron-5-10 tanks

Platoon-40 tanks

Division-150-200

Company-400-450 tanks

Battalion-1000-2000 tanks. I'm pretty sure that's right.

It's May 2nd, 2046. The Nexus and Unity are tense. After an assassination of an Unity ambassador visiting Nexus for peace talks, the war finally begins between the two of them. Finally, the Unity forces makes the first move and launches operation Bulldozer, which will smash anything in it's way, digging it straight through the major factories of Hawkins, which is controlled by the Nexus. This, is the battle for Hawkins.

For the assault of Hawkins, which stands between Unity and Nexus forces, the Unity has amassed 30,000 troops, 2,000+ mobile anti-tank guns, and more than 1,000 tanks for war. Operation Bulldozer has begun. Hawkins is a snowy place, with dotted forests every so often around the terrain. The Unity must strike before the Nexus are ready, and Unity's army attacks.

For the defensive, the Nexus has 15,000 troops, 540 anti-tank guns, and a little more than 400 tanks. The odds aren't good for the Nexus, but they make do. Operation Bulldozers plan: To have three platoons ram into the frontline, giving time for the AT-guns to set up, and then fire at them with sheer firepower until they're down. While that's happening, a platoon will move from the Southeast and attack a Nexus outpost by surprise, and then join up with the rest of the main force to surround the remaining Nexus forces, while bringing in the rest of the tanks periodically.

(Imagine most of Western Europe being the Nexus, and Russia with China and a few other Eastern European countries being the Unity)

May 18th 2046. Unity forces are on the move, and the first phase has begun. Nexus Jaguar heavy tank, with a 120mm smoothbore gun, a road speed of 40 mph, and 100mm of armor. The Unity carry the Gemini medium tank, with two 100mm guns, a road speed of 60 mph, and 80mm of armor. These Gemini tanks aren't as well equipped as the Jaguars, but the numbers and speed will swarm the Jaguars.

Operation bulldozer phase 1 begins, and the platoons make their way through the snowy field. Their 100mm guns probe for anything to shoot at. And then they see it. Right in the middle of a barn, is a fully armed Jaguar. It fires it's first shot, taking out a single Gemini tank between the turret and the body, which blows up. The rest of the Gemini start to retreat, taking pot shots, missing all the way.

Memoirs of the Jaguar driver-We waited for a while. Our intel told us 10 tanks would be heading this way towards us. Our tank and one other lay in wait. I saw the first tank, and so did my gunner. He fired, and shot through the little exposed part of the Gemini, effectively blowing it up. The Gemini's continue firing, and land a couple shots on our armor, only doing some damage.

Finally, our commander yells, and I hear an explosion. The Jaguar is burning, and I scramble out. Six Gemini's come down towards us, but one explodes from the side. The other Jaguar comes in, and fires another shot. Soon, only three are left, and they start to turn. Their temporary offensive failed.

The attack fails, not only in the previously described event, but all over the lines the Nexus have set up. May 21st 2046. They commence an attack again. They have 5 platoons out front now, and charge the lines. Finally, after 36 hours of fighting, they break through. The platoon from the Southeast make towards the defensive post. Little do they know, on either side are forest. And the post is abandoned.

Memoirs from a Gemini gunner-We drove through, and found nothing. Everything was abandoned. We theorized they must have retreated to help the other Nexus forces. How wrong we were. As soon as we came in, we hear grinding of metal. It's coming from the forest. Stationary 150mm anti tank guns stare at us, and then start to fire. I remember screaming. I fire shell after shell into the forest. I blew one gun up, but more just kept on coming. Finally our commander tells us to retreat. We do.

The loss resulted in over half of the platoon destroyed. When the Unity armada returns, there's nothing left. This time, the Nexus have truly abandoned the place. May 28th, 2046. Hundreds of Unity tanks stroll through the frontlines, and start to attack Western positions. One of the targets for phase two? the village Of Ursk. The town would provide a perfect command post, and a tank factory also lay there, creating more Jaguars by the day.

May 31st, 2046. Two platoons of tanks assault Ursk. They're heavily dug in, firing 150mm anti tank shells straight into the tanks. Then, Jaguars roll out and start firing. It's absolute chaos. Shells are flying, and the Unity are forced to pull out. Phase 2 was a disaster. But they muster enough courage to do it again the following day, finally managing to destroy a few SPG's, and throw the forces out of Ursk for good. Unfortunately, when they did roll into Ursk, it was full of traps, and they ended up wasting a good lot of soldiers to mines and other traps.

Military commanders decide Ursk is not a formidable position, and more than 100 men lost their lives for Ursk. Angry and demoralized, the 1st division is rounded up for another attack straight into Hawkin's heaviest armed area. The fortress of Atago. Unity decides it can withstand the losses, and forces the 2nd and 3rd division in too. It's hell. On the road to the fortress, they've melted the snow and let the rivers flow, making most of the icy mushy and dangerous, so they can only stay on the road, making them easy targets.

Mines are stuck in the middle of the road, resulting in dozens of tanks destroyed. It's hard to see the mines in the snow and water, and some tanks even slip from the road and into the icy and water, immediately sinking five feet into the snow, rendering it immobile. But finally, they reach Atago. And are met with the worst situation, ever.
