Jaded - needs rest
Where's the goal? How to take flight?
Where's hope that inspires me to wake at the break of light?
This road seems like an everlasting uphill struggle.
What should in this life be my delight?
I tried to be kind, I tried to be nice.
In society I can't afford to burn bridges, everything has a price.
Between what is said, before I lift my tongue,
Those are moments I must think twice.
So many invisible rules there's no room for autonomy
Black and white? So naive. Such a false dichotomy.
Even a holy marriage can be made a travesty.
Just what has value in this economy?
He says turn left. She says right.
This evening, I'm too tired to fight.
My heart has grown cold to what is wise.
I just pray for good sleep at night.
