First let me introduce myself, my name is Cathy Jones and I am soon to become Cathy Matthews. I'm 24 years old, I have masters in English literature and I teach at a local college. I am 5ft 4" with shoulder length curly hair (my mother calls it frizzy but that's her being picky). I was born in California and my family moved to Surrey, England when I was 2. That's when I met Scott Matthews, my soon to be husband. He was a total jerk and my neighbour, our parents hit it off right away and we soon found ourselves forced together for parties, dinner nights, movie night, taco Tuesday and occasions where we would try and get away from each other as much as we could. Our friendship started when we were 5, we were at his mother's street party that she organised ever year. No other kids in on the street liked me, they were always bullying me and picking on me at school. Sitting alone on the steps leading to my house I was watching all the other children running around and causing mischief. Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I spotted Scott walking over to me. 'Great' I thought 'He's coming over to bully me again' but to my surprise he didn't, he sat himself beside me and talked to me for the whole evening. We talked about our family, the annoying children and our friendship which blossomed that night over our hate for the children on our street.
And now sitting in the small cramped room in the church was making me feel very claustrophobic and it wasn't helping my nerves. I closed my eyes, counted to 10 and visualised Scott standing there waiting for me. When I opened my eyes again I felt calmer and ready for the big day ahead. Suddenly from the other side of the doors I could hear the organ begin to play. I stood up from my small antique chair and smoothed my white flowing ball gown down. I walked over to the door, reached for the door handle and flung the door open. I was taken aback by my mother tumbling into the room and making a thud on the floor.
"MOTHER!" I exclaimed, reaching down and helping her up. She brushed off her dress and straightens her hair so it was once again perfect. She looked me up and down and smiled to herself, her eyes shimmering with pride.
"Sorry dear I was just making sure you hadn't escaped out the window." She laughed, but she didn't know how close I had come to it. I loved Scott with all my heart but this big wedding was never us, it was our parent's idea to have a big fancy wedding with our entire family there. We wanted something simple but elegant somewhere exotic with our close family and friends.
"It's time." My mother beamed and kissed me on the cheek being careful not to smudge my makeup. I took a deep breath as I smiled to the 5 beautiful bridesmaids that were through the double doors before me taking graceful steps down the aisle. My turn next, I looked behind me to see my father standing there in his new tux he bought for our wedding (he said he could wear it for our babies christenings and their weddings too, he didn't like to spend a lot of money). He came over to me and pulled me into a big bear hug like he always does, treating me like one of my brothers who were much older than me. He pulled back and smiled a teary smile. He extended his arm for me, I took it and we began our journey through the huge double doors. As I first entered the room I spotted him straight away, he looked so handsome in his tux that had a small daisy poking out the pocket. My favourite flowers were daisies and he always bought me them when he went out for work and came home early.
As I got to the end my father took my hand and offered it to Scott who beamed and whispered a 'thank you' to my father. He then turned to me kissing me on the cheek, turned around and sat down next to my mother who was already in tears wiping them with a light pink hanky.
The ceremony was over quick and Scott and I were sitting in the limo that was awaiting us outside. He turned to me and took my face into his hands, his lips found mine in a matter of seconds and all I could feel was his warm soft lips on mine.
"You look breathtaking" He breathed onto my lips, sending shivers down my spine. I could feel myself blush as his eyes looked deep into mine, showing me that he meant everything that was said in the ceremony.
"You look hot." I said with a wink. Which made him chuckle that oh so sexy chuckle that makes his chest vibrate against my hands. He looked down at me and kissed my nose, the little thing that we do to say I love you without having to say it.
"Are you ready for our reception?" He said, entwining his fingers with mine and placing them on his lap.
"I don't think anyone could be ready for a big hall full of our family together." We laughed all the way there about what funny hats people had been wearing at our wedding.
As we entered the building through the back door, we made our way up the stairs and to our room for the evening. Already in there was our bags and luggage for our honeymoon, and already laid out on the bed was my dress for the reception.
"Oh I don't even know how to get out of this thing." I groaned as I sat down with a puff onto the bed. Scott came over to me and lifted my head so that my eyes met his.
"I will be very happy to undress you my wife." He said with a very sexy husky tone. I smiled and blushed, feeling my face growing hotter. Why was I being so attracted to him right now, just the way he says things today is making me feel so hot and bothered. As I stood up I took off my shoes and chucked them into the bad. Scott fiddled with my ribbons at the back trying to get his new wife loose from the bindings my mother had put me in this morning. After lots of giggles, tugs and tears Scott finally got it undone and I signed a huge sign feeling all the air come back into my body and out again easily.
"We better hurry or they'll think we're already making them grandchildren." Scott laughed and took off his shiny shoes and replaced them for black converses. I took off the big fluffy dress and threw it onto the bed. I picked up the dress I had found a few months ago and almost died over because it was perfect. It was a light pink, knee length dress that had lace sleeves and the skirt has lace over the top of a silky skirt. It was the most perfect dress and I couldn't wait to show it off to Scott. He had turned round to loosen his tie in the mirror so I found this to be the opportunity to throw on the dress quickly before he turned around. I zipped it up on the side and smoothed out the skirt again to make sure it looked perfect. As Scott turned round his eyes widened and his mouth dropped to the floor.
"You look..." He took a few steps closer and looked me up and down with a smirk on his face, "beautiful."
He took my hands in his and began to kiss me, first it was gentle then it grew more hungry and passionate. His hands found their way to my hair and his fingers threaded through my hair causing me to bend my head backwards into his hand. A small mouth escaped my lips as his lips travelled down from my mouth to my neck, nibbling and licking gently at it.
"We have to stop." His breathless voice made me melt even more. I was on my way to just forcing him onto the bed and keeping him here for the rest of the night but I knew he was right, it could wait till we got to our hotel.
"Quick lets go." I said as we straightened up and walked towards the door. Scott quickly entwined his fingers with mine and his thumb stroked my hand softly, I smiled up at him before opening the door with my free hand.
Tonight was going to be very difficult with our entire family in one huge hall. Good luck us!
