"OOoo, this is cute," my doppelgänger, and best friend, Harper said as she walked towards a little deep blue dress displayed on a shiny white mannequin, "not that cute," she said as she checked the price tag.

I laughed "OMG, Harper, I don`t think either of us could afford a bandeau in this store, let alone that dress."

"Yeah, you`re right, Jen. A girl can dream."

"I know, but I'm soo thirsty. And I'm doing the right thing by dragging you out of this store before you blow your whole summer`s budget on one dress."

"Fine." We walked out of the store, putting our matching sunglasses down over our similar blue eyes, mine light in color and hers much darker. We had just bought the glasses three stores ago, and had multiple other bags in our hands and we decide to hit up subway for some much needed lunch and lemonade.

The sun was reflecting off the water and in through the window, making it almost twice as bright. We split a 12-inch and a bag of chips.

Before we left I stopped to refill my lemonade (they charged me an additional 79 cents too, damn beach prices) when the light from the sun, that was just starting to set brought my attention to a sign on hanging on the bulletin board advertising for an under 21 club, I smiled as I ripped it from the wall.

I half run back over to our table and fall into the seat, quietly screeching.

"What is your deal?" Harper asks laughing.

I don't answer and rather hand her the paper.

She too starts to screech "Oh My God. Do you think your parents will let us go?!"

We were staying at my grandmother`s beach house like we do one week every summer, but this year I convinced my parents to not only let me stay the whole summer, but to also bring my best friend along with me, thank god my grandmother loves me so much and wanted us to stay all summer. Today was the first day in Florida and Harper and I had our last day of soft more year yesterday. Which means we have a whole summer of beach living right on the boardwalk, suntans, cute boys, under 21 clubs and my laid back grandma. And 6 more days of convincing my parents that I can handle all of that before they head back to upstate Pennsylvania. "If they won`t let us go today, we will just wait till they leave, and they know that."

"Awesome," awesome she says with a smile.

I flip my glasses down on my face "lets rock and roll."

We stop at a Forever 21 on the boardwalk on the way home. We leave with two mini dresses and matching heels, we almost flying back to my grandmothers.

My parents are really cool and give us permission as long as we text them when we get there and stay together. We agree to the terms and go screeching to the room we will share for the summer.

As we pull change into our outfits and do each other's hair in elaborate braids we are both so skilled at, and apply our mascara and eye shadow, I can`t help but feel like something really good and really bad is going to happen tonight, and I'm not sure if I'm excited or nervous. I put it out of my mind and before I know it we are out the door, in the setting sun, listening to our heels clack on the boardwalk as we walk and laugh all the way to the club, not know what we would find in that club, or better yet who.

2 girls. 1 summer at the beach. 1 night at the clubs. And 2 boys who are nothing but good and a whole lot of trouble.
