Mirari held on tightly to the man, as the motorbike sped down the street, dodging cars. They were outside town now, heading towards the old industrial buildings.

He'd carried her to the car park, and walked to an old, black sport bike. He placed her down on it, before sitting on it himself. He lifted the latch, and advised her to hold on tight. They'd raced through town, and passed many police cars. The faint sound of sirens still echoed in the distance. Mirari should've been worried, or scared at least. She still had no idea who this man was, and she'd just witnessed him turning the principal into a corpse by looking at him. But right now, she felt safe, comfortable and was holding onto him instead of running away. She didn't care about what happened to her any more. Not in the least.

They suddenly skidded around a corner, and Mirari would've fallen off if he hadn't warned her. They continued down a small avenue, surrounded by abandoned buildings and warehouses. Sunlight was missing from the avenue, but shone on the tops of the architecture, revealing broken windows and large cracks running up the sides of the buildings.

Another sharp turn. This time, the bike stayed slanted for much longer, and he kicked off the tarmac with his right foot, straightening the bike up.

They slowed, and eventually stopped outside an old, navy warehouse. He swung his right leg over the bike and turned back to Mirari, offering her a hand. She took it and followed him as he lead her to a small, hidden, tin door in the bottom right hand corner. He knocked on it four times. They both waited a few moments. A tiny, narrow window was opened.

"Ko̱dikós?"

"Eiságete! Baka!" he shouted, banging on the door again with his fist. The door slowly opened. A tanned, pouting face appeared.

"Sheesh! Dude, you've no patience..." they mumbled, stepping back to let them in. His eyes widened when he saw Mirari. "Woah. Hey there beautiful! My name's Trevor. How's about you and I get something to eat later?"

Mirari stopped, and looked at Trevor blankly. Trevor frowned. She looked up at him. He was rolling his eyes. She looked back at Trevor. She opened her mouth to speak, but he spoke before she had a chance.

"Trevor! For the love of Lucar! Can you not hit on every girl in sight?" he scolded, picking the smaller boy up by the collar of his shirt. "Grow up a little. You're eighteen now. I thought you said you had grown up from a little kid. I guess not, baka." Trevor pouted and put a hand on each hip, still swinging in the air.

"Don't call me that!" he whined, glaring at the man, who rolled his yes.

"I will when you grow up. Now, where's Jasper?" he said, dropping the boy to the floor. Trevor landed roughly on his knees. He stood up and quickly brushed the dust off his clothes, before sticking his tongue out at the man that helped Mirari through the small gap, and into the dark corridor.

It was dimly lit by a few fire torches, and it seemed to go on forever. The floor was lined with black carpet that was covered in dust. The walls were finely decorated with dark maroon wallpaper with beige floral designs.

"He's in the library," Trevor replied, suddenly serious. He pocked his head out the doorway and looking both ways before quietly closing the steel door.

The man nodded. He grabbed Mirari's hand and briskly led her down the hall. He opened the fifth door on the left, and walked in, Mirari right behind him.

The room was, once again, dimly lit, and had many fine mahogany shelves filled with books of different widths, and colours. The floor was covered in the same fluffy black carpet, but lacked the dust. The wall were covered in beige wallpaper, making the room seem a bit brighter than the corridor.

He led Mirari past many shelves, to the back of the room.

There, in the left hand corner, on a black leather lounger, sat a boy with olive-hued hair, and dark crimson eyes, that scrutinised the contents of a book. He had tanned skin, and his hair was cut just above his shoulders in layers, and was quite messy. He wore black, baggy, worn jeans, a black, low-rounded-neck, long-sleeved vest, and a black t-shirt with a slightly higher neck. Around his neck were two dog tags.

"Jasper," the snow haired man called. Jasper looked up. His eyes were narrowed, and very much like the man, he had a serious aura about him.

"Mirari, welcome home." Jasper mumbled, though Mirari just caught it. She frowned slightly-barely- but said nothing.

He walked towards them, and glared at the man.

"You killed someone, didn't you?" The man nodded. Jasper sighed, his eyes still narrowed. "I can smell it off you. So much for not scaring her, Cole." Cole glared at Jasper in response.

"She's not scared, Jasper," he hissed "She's barely said a word in all. In fact, since I killed that pervert, she seems more relaxed," he continued, looking back at Mirari, who had remained perfectly quiet the whole time.

Jasper looked at her, then back to Cole, then back to Mirari again. He walked in front of her.

"Are you afraid of Cole?" he asked, watching her with a serious expression. She stared at him for a few moments, blinking, before shaking her head. Jasper's eyes widened a bit, before returning to their previous size.

He looked up at Cole, who was frowning, and staring at Mirari, deep in thought. Jasper brushed back a few strands of hair from his face as he watched the slightly taller male. The three remained in silence for a while, until it was interrupted by a loud bang and a few shouts.

Both males growled slightly, tensing, and ready for action.

"Mirari!" came a shrill voice. The owner, a woman with light violet hair in a plait, burst out from behind a shelf and tried to pounce on Mirari. She was caught mid air by Cole, who grabbed her by her plait.

"Owww!" she shrieked, kicking furiously and clawing at Cole's hands as she hug in the air. "Cole, you tyrant! Let go!"

Cole released her. She dropped to the ground and landed on the balls of her feet, placing one hand on the ground to balance herself. She popped up from her position and made a run for Mirari. She leapt at Mirari, and wrapped her in a hug mid-air, before they both crashed to the ground.

"Mirari! I missed you so much! Never leave again!" she sobbed, squeezing Mirari tight as they lay on the floor. Mirari grimaced. Cole glared. Jasper sighed, and furrowed his brow.

He reached down and grabbed the violet haired woman by the neck of her white t-shirt. Cole picked Mirari off the ground and held her bridal-style. She clutched a handful of his coat in her fist, and rested her head against his chest. Her expression was somewhat more relaxed than before.

"Amaya, take it easy. She just arrived." Jasper explained as he glared at the teary eyed, violet haired girl, who hung limply in the air.

"S-sorry," she hiccuped, wiping her tears away with her sleeve. "I just got really excited and happy. I missed her so much."

Mirari looked up at Cole, growing a bit curious to what she was talking about. He looked back down at her and smiled softly. He kissed her forehead lovingly and leaned his head down until his mouth was level with her ear.

"She's your sister," he whispered, his breath hot against Mirari's ear, sending a small shiver down her spine. Then his words sunk in.

She gasped sharply. She looked up and stared at the woman, who was now in Jasper's arms. Mirari's heart ached, as a sudden wave of sorrow and rage swept through her. Her stare turned to a glare briefly, until she regained control of her sudden flow of emotions. Amaya flinched from the hatred that had burned like fire in her sister's eyes for that one second. Her heart pounded harder in her chest as it hurt.

"P-put me.. down..please..." Mirari croaked, looking up at Cole, completely emotionless again. He nodded and set her down on her feet slowly.

She took a step forward. Then another. Then another. She stood in front of Jasper and looked at the woman in his arms.

" My family disowned me long ago.." Mirari mumbled. She took a deep breath. " I ..." The room started spinning, and Mirari could feel herself loosing her balance "have..no..one" she finished. She turned around slightly and saw Cole's mouth move, but no words came out. He raced towards her, and caught her. She watched his mouth move again and again, but she couldn't hear anything. Her body felt like lead. She couldn't move it. She was suddenly really tired.
"Cole..." she whispered, before her eyes fluttered closed.
