Wait, What Now?

Chapter Two- Death Flavored Teabags Part 2

"Ugh. What the hell happened to me last night?" Gem asked, sitting up in his small, rough cot. The sheets slid down his toned body, revealing a rather large bandaged gash in his side. He cradled his head as he gingerly touched the wound. Gem winced, cursing.

"You got slayed, bruh," said a feminine voice off to his left.

Gem craned his head around and saw a young woman, around his own age, standing there. A clipboard was clasped in her slender fingers. He blinked. "Laid?"

The woman pushed a pink-dyed bang out of her blue eyes. She scribbled something down on her clipboard. "Eh… More like teabagged, bruh. Repeatedly." She grinned at the knight. "It was a pretty long session too. Pop pop pop pop pop pop. Just like that." She continued to write on the clipboard, mechanical pencil scratching loudly across her clipboard.

"Teabagged?" Gem repeated. "What the hell is teabagging?"

The woman looked up from her paperwork. She winked at him and grinned. "Have you ever played video games? Like when you die in the game, your killer- usually a very immature, high-pitched brat- squats repeatedly over your head, slapping his crotch into your dead face."

Gem buried his head in his hands and groaned. Ahead ache began throbbing dully in the back of his skull, and his side was beginning to sting under the bandages. "So, basically, some squatted on my face?"

"Exactamundo, bruh," the woman replied. She pulled a small bottle of sky blue pills and tapped one out onto her palm. She handed it to him. "Take this. It'll make you feel better. However, if the effect doesn't kick in until four hours later, call your doctor- who would be… me." She flashed him a confident smile at him.

Gem gave her a look but took the pill anyway. "Doctor, huh? What's your name? I'm Gem on Brawn, Knight of the Golden Tiger." He held his hand out to her.

The woman gave him a complicated high-five, which left him quite confused. She rolled her blue eyes at him. "Ugh. You medieval types and your medieval ways of greeting." She simply shook his hand curtly. "Name's Moony Dupree, Physician's Assistant. I'll be taking care of you during your stay here."
