The Monster Inside
(11/10/2010)
Scarlet red, the carpet stain
While all the memories remain
The blades, they glimmer and glisten
Begging for me to answer their call, only to listen.
.
Deepest red, flows through their veins,
And slowly chaos inside me reigns,
To spill a few drops is all they ask,
Relatively a simple task.
.
Scurrying across the roof-tops
Tailing my victim below,
Unsuspectingly browsing the shops
If they could only know.
.
Their fate awaits in a darkened corridor
All alone they try to fight…
But they will fight no more,
And I contemplate if it was right.
.
Satisfied, I lie in wait,
But just until the monster's hunger pains,
Thus sealed is another's fate
For once again the monster reigns.
