One day, while walking through the forest, the Fox saw the Crow with a big piece of cheese. Looking at the cheese, the Fox's stomach began to grumble.
"I'm hungry." The Fox said. Maybe I can get myself some cheese from the crow!"
"OH, Mr. Crow! Can I have a piece of your cheese?" The Fox asked.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Fox, but I have not eaten in quite some time. This cheese is for me!"
The Fox was angry. He came up with a plan. "Oh, Mr. Crow! You have the most beautiful song! I wish I could hear such pretty music. Will you please sing your song for me?"
The Crow was flattered and was more than happy to sing for him. "Okay, fine. Since you asked so nicely." The Crow opened his beak wide to sing his song.
But, just as he opened his mouth, the cheese fell.
Down...
Down...
Down into the fox's mouth.
The Fox swallowed the cheese whole and laughed. "Thank you, Mr. Crow for the song. The cheese tasted great too!" And he ran off laughing at the Crow for being tricked.
The Crow was sad.
Later, Ms. squirrel came and saw the Crow. "Why are you sad, Mr. Crow? Are you okay?" She asked.
"No, I'm not." The Crow said. He told Ms. Squirrel the whole story.
"Well, that's not very nice of Mr. Fox. I'll go find him and talk to him!" Ms. Squirrel said, and she went down the tree and left to go see the Fox.
Ms. Squirrel found the Fox.
"That wasn't nice of you, Mr. Fox, to trick Mr. Crow like that! You guys both need to learn to share food. Then no one will be hungry and everyone is happy!" She said.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Squirrel. I'll be nicer to Mr. Crow. And I'll share my food with him." The Fox answered.
The Fox and the Squirrel went back to see the crow and the Fox brought a piece of bread. They all shared their food and lived happily ever after.
