A couple of hours earlier...

Inside their cozy mansion, Yukio and Yumi seemed like the typical rich sibling duo. However, behind closed doors and in the night time, they were not what they seemed to be. Each held a secret. A dark secret. Deep within the mansion, there was a large basement. There was a orb glowing purple, signifying the ominous aura of power inside of it.

"The time has come at last. It won't be long until we have what is rightfully ours."

"Yes."

"And we will finally get what we dreamed of having for ourselves as well."

At the left corner was an hourglass of red sand, with the top of it emptying itself to the bottom half. The girl of gray complexion looked at the hourglass with a stoic face, despite a small hint of nervousness for what was going to happen. They have waited for years for the event that would change everything.

"Yumi," Yukio asked, stroking his sister's black hair. "Do you remember how we died?"

The pale skinned girl nodded slowly.

"We were slaughtered by humans," she answered. "There was a burglary at our home. We have lost many siblings in the struggle."

The guidance counselor smiled.

"That's right. And who is to blame for our deaths?"

"Humans," Yumi said.

"But, our father brought us back to life. With the last ounce of his being, he changed us into what we are today. So, we owe it to him that we take revenge on the world, don't we?"

"...Yes."

The tall, black haired man caressed Yumi's cheek and made eye contact with her.

"In order to execute our plan, we must find the tortured maiden. She has the key to brining forth the new world."

"How is she going to do that?" Yumi asked, somewhat uncertain.

Yukio chuckled darkly, staring at the orb that was glowing.

"Time will tell, dear sister. We just have to be patient."

Suddenly, the orb showed an image of a girl of golden locks and innocent blue eyes. She was wearing an angel costume and was running out of the girls dormitory.

"Eleanor...?"

"Haha! Perfect timing," Yukio laughed with dark delight. "Yumi, bring this Eleanor to our mansion. Make sure she feels comfortable and safe with you. Send her to a false sense of security..."

The Halloween party at Sultana high school went off without any incidents. For now, it was a fun, peaceful, and light hearted night of eating and dancing. The faculty and staff were getting along quite swimmingly, with a few teachers dancing to the beat of the music. While the party continued on, Walter, Daisy, and Principal LeBlanc all set together at an isolated lunch table.

"Walter," asked the principal. "Do you really think that the guidance counselor and his sister are the enemies?"

"Yes, I do."

"And what proof do you have?"

The eighteen year old sighed and began his deductions.

"Think about it for a moment. Yukio and Yumi showed up in Sultana high school two weeks ago. The attacks at night have been happening at the same exact time. Not only that, I paid a visit to the cemetery and stumbled across one particular gravestone. It belonged to them, seventy years ago."

"Are you serious?" Daisy asked, completely shocked.

Walter nodded.

"Very. Those siblings are the undead, revived by a powerful vampire. And that vampire was their parent."

There was a long, grim moment of silence. If what Walt said was true, then the school was in even bigger trouble than ever.

"So, then," LeBlanc asked. "What else do you think they are after besides human blood?"

The white haired hunter shook his head. Even he didn't know what their true purpose was.

"I'm not sure."

Just then, the discussion was interrupted when a frantic blonde adult woman came busting in at the cafeteria entrance doors. Her perfect hair was messy and soaking wet from the heavy downpour of rain. Her dress suit was also drenched. The other girl accompanying her was a teenage Hispanic girl with short red hair and droopy brown eyes. Her red devil costume was no where near as soaked, thanks to her umbrella.

Daisy quickly sat up from her seat, recognizing the redhead.

"Ava?"

Margret ran over to the faculty, while Ava walked towards Daisy. She had on a worried expression on her face as she approached the hunters.

"Daisy!" Ava said. "Thank goodness you're here! Listen, we need your help."

"What's the problem? Did something happen on your way over here?"

Before the shorter girl could explain the situation, Margret ran and turned to Daisy. Her dark green eyes were wide with fear.

"Help! Please!" Margret exclaimed, grabbing the dark skinned girl's shoulders. "My sister has disappeared somewhere!"

"Wait, what?!" Daisy asked, completely rattled.

"Eleanor is missing! She ran away and we can't find her. She could be dead or worse! We have to find Eleanor!"

Walter intervened and placed a hand on Margret's back, catching her attention.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down there, lady" he told her. "Now, I want you to calm down for a moment. We can't help you unless we know who you are."

The woman glared at Walter.

"I'm Margret. Eleanor's older sister."

"Okay, Margret. So, what exactly happened?" Walt asked. "Why did she run away?"

Before Margret could answer his question, something unexpected happened. The party lights in the cafeteria were abruptly shut off. Shrieks of surprise were heard amongst the young party-goers.

"Oh, now what?!" Principal LeBlanc exclaimed.

"Greetings, ladies and gentlemen!" said a man's voice from the stage of the cafeteria, the red curtains concealing the mystery figure, "I am very honored and pleased to see you all taking part in this lovely gathering. I hope each and every single one of you have enjoyed your little party, because it will be your last."

Suddenly, the red curtains automatically lift up to reveal Yukio and Yumi wearing new attire. The former guidance counselor had on dark leather clothing that exposed his midriff and a cape. Yumi adorned a black and white Lolita dress with black stockings and 2 inch boots. Behind them was a sleeping girl of golden hair and bare Caucasian skin. She was being held by up by a giant obsidian cross that was on the center of the stage. Margret, Ava, and Daisy didn't have to think twice to know who it was.

"ELEANOR!" the girls exclaimed.

"At long last, we have found our tortured maiden," Yukio continued. "She is the key in bringing forth the new world. My ideal world!"

Walter and Daisy stepped forward, getting in their battle stances.

"You bastard!" Walter shouted. "What are you doing with that girl!?"

"Let go of her right this instant!" Daisy demanded. "She's doesn't know what's going on!"

Yukio cracked a twisted smile.

"Oh, on the contrary, vampire hunter. Eleanor knows exactly what she's doing. She willingly offered herself over to me. She told me that of her blight and now she wishes to join my cause."

This revelation was almost akin to a punch in the gut for Margret and Ava. How broken had Eleanor become to accept such a fate?

"She...did?" Ava said, distraught.

"Ava, don't be fooled so easily!"

The red haired girl glanced at the dark skinned hunter.

"But...Daisy..."

"Eleanor would never give herself over to scum like him. I mean, I might not know her very well but I do know that she was being taken advantage of."

Yukio shrugged and scoffed.

"Believe what you wish. It matters not to me."

Yukio produced the dark orb of glowing purple and showed it to the humans.

"And now, you shall be the next sacrifices to our cause."

The orb's light intensified and started to float up in the air. As it continued to float, the orb changed into a portal. From within the portal, bats started descending upon the cafeteria. They were not ordinary bats either. These fiendish creatures were also quite large in size, tall than the humans by 3 or 4 inches. At first the teenagers and adults just stood there, dumb founded at what they had witnessed. A random man from the faculty was foolish enough to approach one of the creatures and poke it.

This was the last mistake he ever made. The large bat beast roared and grabbed the glasses wearing teacher with its claws and held him in the air.

"NO!" the man screamed, "LET ME GO! PLEASE! NOOO!"

But the victim's pleas fell short as the vampire proceeded to place him in its mouth. Hundreds of teeth were welcoming him. The poor man's entire body was devoured. Blood was everywhere. And at that very moment, the entire student body was in a panic. Screams of terror were heard all over the school cafeteria. The rest of the vampires began to wreak destruction upon the Halloween party. Both Walter, Daisy, Ava, and Margret gasped in horror at what was unfolding before them. Even a small team of police officers were no match for such beings, meeting their deadly fates one by one.

Daisy's hands flew over her gaping mouth.

"Oh god...!"

"You got to be shitting me!" Walter said.

They didn't have time to sink in the carnage for long. Incoming enemies were flying towards them. LeBlanc, being the squirrely coward he was, fled from the scene.

"Ava, Margret, go find a place to hide. Hurry!" Daisy shouted.

"Hide?! Where?"

"Anywhere!"

Ava grabbed the blonde woman by the hand and lead her away to a lunch table.

Once the Ava and Margret hid Daisy loaded up her pistols. She managed to get some combat training in before this day would come. Joining alongside her friend and hunting partner, Walter, they went to battle against the vampires.

A small group of the fiends circle around the pair, ready to pounce on them at any moment. Walter unsheathed his katana and swung it at the first huge bat that flew down towards him. His sword delivered a painful cut on the its chest and kicked it with his right boot. Daisy shot several bullets at two other bats and dodged rolled away before they dropped dead. Walter slashed another bat clean in half and back-flipped out of the way from a claw attack. From the corner of his eye,

Several terrified teenagers and adults were running to the emergency exit until vicious bats spotted them. The bats landed hard and blocked the exit with their winged arms. Daisy and Walter protected the civilians and advised them to hide inside the kitchen and close the gates behind them. While they continued their fight against the monsters, Yukio was enjoying this show of survival.

"Look at those vermin. Scrambling around like blind mice. Isn't this just entertaining, Yumi?"

Yumi tore her eyes away from the chaos, shame evident in her face. How far have them come to resort to this type of destruction against the human race? They were feeding on human blood for survival, not for sport and sick pleasure.

"Time is running short. We should hurry while we still have the advantage."

The handsome leather wearing man turned to his sibling.

"Now, Yumi. Begin the finale phase. Kill the girl."

The raven haired girl looked back at the sleeping Eleanor. She was absolutely oblivious to what was going on, as she was inside a dream of ignorant bliss. Unaware of her participation in this dark procedure and her fate. Something stirred in Yumi's icy heart and she could have sworn her eyes were beginning to be water a little. Enough was finally enough. This could not continue any further. Yumi now realized what she truly needed to do.

"What are you waiting for?" Yukio hissed. "Hurry up and eliminate the tortured maiden."

"No."

The man's brunt orange eyes widened.

"Excuse me?"

Yumi glared at her sister. Finally gaining the courage to stick up for herself, she spoke again.

"You heard me, I said no. Father had given us new lives, and therefore gave us choices to make. I have made mine today. I'm done taking orders from you. I'm rebelling against you, alongside the humans."

The dirty blond haired man growled under his breath. His blood began to boil at the mere thought of his own sister betraying him.

"Yumi, have you lost your mind? It's rather late of you to grow a conscious now. I'm trying claim the world for ourselves, just the two of us! A world free of the humans. A world where our kind can roam freely. Do you want to comprise our cause after everything we have been through?! You will cease this idiotic attitude and obey your brother."

"I shall not!" shouted the blacked haired half breed. That one outburst was strong enough to silence Yukio. Yumi, not skipping a beat, continued on her diatribe against him.

"For too long, I have watched you manipulate people for your own gain. Yukio, you are not the same big brother I idolized all those years ago. You've grown vengeful, savage, and callous. I felt obligated to join you because we were family. I would have gladly sacrificed myself for your cause. But, no more. I won't be your slave anymore. From here on out, I will live my own life as Yumi. And I will stand for a better cause worth fighting for than yours."

Just then, the older brother delivered a furious fist towards Yumi's cheek, forcing her to fall off the stage. Yumi managed to recover as she looked back at the orange eyed man. His entire face had contorted into a rage, betrayal, and disgust.

"Unbelievable!" Yukio lamented. "70 years...! I wasted 70 years grooming you."

Walter and Daisy took out the last bat together and leaped up the stage to confront the vampire duo. Despite their clothing being torn and dirty, the hunters were still staying strong. Their determination drove them to save the doomed Sultana high school.

"Come on, vampires! Why do you keep sending lackeys to attack us?" Walter taunted. "Fight us your self, coward!"

Yukio's sharp teeth began to form as he growled with frustration over his situation.

"When you can't get someone to kill your enemies, you kill them yourself."

Yukio wasted no time in transforming into a giant werewolf. He was now big as the stage he was standing in. Walter leaped up and swung his sword at the monster's head. However, he missed when the werewolf dodged the simple attack. Daisy took a chance and shot a few rounds on werewolf Yukio's back, forcing him off the stage. Yumi transformed into her half beast form and assisted the two teens in their fight. She charged towards her brother and scratched at his chest, earning a pained yelp. However, Yukio counter attacked with a hard kicks to the girl's left hip and shoulder.

Half beast Yumi landed on top of Walter while Daisy continued her assault against the large foe. She reloaded her guns, aimed and shot. The bullets pierced through his stomach. Enraged even more, Werewolf Yukio threw a lunch table at the gun wielder.

As they struggled, Margret sneaked her way out of her hiding place and went to the stage. She approached the cross, carrying her little sister.

"Eleanor? Eleanor, wake up. Can you hear me?"

The teen girl's eye fluttered open, she shifted her eyes to Margret's.

"Margret..."

"It's alright, I'm here to get you out of here."

As soon as she gained her bearings, memories of their reunion hours ago came right back to her. She was thrashing around, trying to shake her older sister off of her.

"Go away!" Eleanor exclaimed. "Don't touch!"

"What?"

"I'm not going anywhere with you."

"Are you crazy, Eleanor?!" Margret criticized. "Can't you see what's going on? You're just being used! No good will come of listening to that man. Please, let me save you!"

"I never asked you to save me! I'm going to the new world with Yukio and Yumi. At least they won't treat me like a slave or abuse me! I want to live in a safer place with better people who are kind to me. I want a better life for myself than what this, unfair, ugly world has to offer!"

Margret gasped softly, realizing that her sister was serious. The younger blonde was angry about her situation and desperately longed for an escape from the real world. Even if it meant leaving everyone she knew behind.

Taking a shaky breath, Margret spoke again, hoping her words got through to the girl.

"You have every right to be angry with me. There are many bad things out there, unspeakably bad things. However, there is also beauty and goodness in the world as well. You might not believe it, but there are people who care about you. If you open your heart out to them, let your walls break down piece by piece, people can help you through your trauma, anger, and pain. Instead of running away from your fears, you should face them head on, just like our mother has always done."

"So, please...Eleanor...for my sake."

"Margret...I..."

Before Eleanor could finish her sentence, a clawed hand lunged at her sister. She was unable to evade the werewolf's fast enough. Margret's torso was slash from the side, fracturing her ribs and hip. The woman screamed in pain as she collapsed on the floor, her blood forming a pool around her. Eleanor, who witnessed the attack on her sibling, was completely speechless. Her blue eyes grew wide with shock.

"Eleanor, my dear. You are my last hope, now. Yumi has betrayed us and we must make haste."

The teenage girl looked back at the former guidance counselor.

"Show me the creation of our new world!"

After a long moment of silence, the golden haired girl complied.

"Understood."

The hunters were down and out, exhausted from the thrashing from the werewolf Yukio. Yumi, in her severely damaged state, managed to get up on her feet. With a broken ankle, she ran as fast as she could to get to Eleanor. To get to the girl she grew so fondly attached to. A small portal began to form inside of Eleanor's stomach and began to enlarge itself. For the first time in her life, the vampire made a silent prayer for more strength, more speed, and more power.

The portal continued to enlarge itself as it swallowed the cafeteria whole, with most of the people being sucked in.

The light engulfed everything in sight. Everything disappeared into the blinding portal of uncertainty.

6 months later...

Crimson eyes slowly flutter open. The sound of birds chirping were the first thing to invade her ears. The raven haired girl began to gain consciousness. Then came the sound of cars passing by the street. And then, Yumi could feel the soft, comfortable mattress underneath her. Like a ghost rising from the grave, she got up from her bed. She was inside a colorful room, with stuffed animals, trophies, and rock band posters. Not only that, she was in nothing but a loose pink shirt and panties to match.

"Where am I...?"

The confused girl looked around, still trying to comprehend her new found surroundings. Until a voice disturbed her train of thoughts.

"Oh, finally woken up, have you?"

Startled, the black haired girl swung her head around and saw a woman at her door. She was in her mid-forties with black hair and eyes of the same color. She was wearing simple, casual clothes which consisted of an orange shirt and jeans with scandals. Yumi titled her head slightly, still unsure of what was going on.

"Huh?"

"Today is your first day of school," said the woman. "Hurry up and get yourself together."

"I'm sorry...who are you?" Yumi asked.

The middle aged homemaker rolled her eyes.

"Wow, you must've had a great sleep if you have completely forgotten about your own mother."

Yumi's eyes went wide to the size of lily pads at this revelation. Her mother died a century ago. For someone as random as this woman and address herself as such was too blasphemous to comprehend.

My mother...? No, this can't be right.

"Come on, Yumi. Breakfast is ready. You don't want it to get cold, do you?"

The orange shirt wearing homemaker left Yumi's room and went back to the kitchen. Yumi, still at a loss for words, followed her. At the dinner table, there was a long silence as the girl was wondering about the changes that have transpired. She couldn't explain why, but she felt a small sense of trust for the woman who claimed to be her mother. With a deep breath, Yumi questioned her.

"So, what is today's date?" Asked the girl.

"March 2nd, 2011." Yumi's mother replied, munching on some bacon.

"And this school I'm going to...?"

The mother furrowed her brows at Yumi's questions.

"Sultana High. You've been transferred there. I thought I told you already."

The teen shrugged.

"I guess I just forgot..."

Still feeling out of place, Yumi took a bite of her scrambled eggs.

"I know you must feel awkward since this is your first day and all," said the mother. "But, I know you'll be fine out there. Just be yourself, right?"

"Yes.." Yumi nodded.

After having a light breakfast, the crimson eyed teenager got herself dressed. She took a good look in the mirror and realized how her complexion has changed as well. Yumi was no longer pale white. She had more healthy color to her body than ever before. It had been nearly a century since Yumi had such human skin. She frowned in sadness, thinking back to those simpler times before she became a vampire. She was different then. Her older brother was different then.

The raven haired transfer student wore her green and brown school uniform, black tights and shoes. She looked like a normal high school kid in everyday life. But she knew that this wasn't her real life. Once she was ready, Yumi departed from the small house she woke up in and walked outside to get to school. As she walked, she thought about what Yukio could be up to right now. She thought about what happened to the hunting duo. And most of all, she wondered about Eleanor.

It was her fault that Eleanor gave in to her delusions. She should have been more honest and open about she really was. But she wasn't. Yumi's blind loyalty to her brother had clouded her inner judgement and she paid the price. And now, here she is. She had to find the golden haired girl. She had to redeem herself and her. With new found resolve in her eyes, Yumi

I'm not sure how to adapt to this new world. It wasn't what I knew could ever existed. But, I do know this: I am going to set things right. No matter what it takes.

End

A/N: So, yeah, I tired to get this chapter done by Halloween. I wasn't quite able to pull it off without rushing the whole process. So, I took my time instead. It was a good decision on my part, considering I have school work on my plate. Once this fall semester is over, I will have more time on my hands for more projects. Part 2 of this story is still a work in progress, but I'm glad that I was able to complete this.

Thank you everyone for sticking with this dysfunctional, chilling, and thrilling tale to the end. Your support means a lot to me. Be on a look out for more in the future! Until then, happy very belated Halloween!
