A/N: This is a sequel based on a Malaysian movie / musical (based on the folklore of the same name) called Puteri Gunung Ledang (Princess of Mount. Ledang). If you haven't watched it, I suggest you do. It's awesome! (And because I tend to make references from it.) Other folklores I made reference to are Hikayat Hang Tuah (The Epic of Hang Tuah) and Singapura Dilanggar Todak (err... I'm not sure of the English title but it's literal translation is "Swordfish Attacks Singapore"). Anyway, if you're lazy to go through the details of the legends, here are the wiki links / summary:

Happy reading! Hehehe ;p
"You shall remain on the top of Mount Ledang alone. Whoever that lays eyes on you after the break of dawn tomorrow, they shall be cursed to die a bloody death."
She looks into the horizon with hopeful eyes that he may arrive before the first drop of sunlight reaches the earth.
Where are you, kanda? Every fleeting moment I have, they belong only you.
He hurls himself through the jungles of Ledang, pushing through the shrouds of plants blocking his path. The thorns and branches him but he doesn't care. All he cares about is the princess, stripped of her royalty, waiting for him on top of that mountain.
I'm coming, dinda. Just wait a little longer.
The first trace of sunlight reaches the earth, casting a golden glint over everything in its path. Memories of his broken promises flash through her mind.
Kanda, will you promise that we shall be reunited once more? Devoting our souls to the love we share? Will you promise me this?
I swear that you are my true love. Even should the wings of the Phoenix break, I will fight to find my way back to you, for every step away from you, my heart shall be two steps closer to embracing our love.
I'll take that as a promise. And I too swear that should you not return, I will come to find you. To walk on the same land that you step on, to breathe the same air as you do. I shall devote my life just to be you on the peaks of Ledang.
We are his majesty, Sultan Mahmud Shah, the Sultan of Malacca's engagement delegation. We are here to seek the princess who resides at the peak of the mountain.
Oh my love, please tell me that your presence here is not merely on the Sultan's orders?
Dinda, there can be no other love for me but you. My love is higher than this mountain and larger than my being but alas, what can I do? My hands are tied to the sky and my feet are bound to the ground. My dreams and realities are poles apart.
I beg of you not to obey these commands, kanda. It is only your love that I hope for, not that any other. It seems that time has blinded your heart or have you come with the intentions to hurt me?
His mind registers the fact that the curse have been indeed been enacted but his heart tells him otherwise. He makes the last sprint up to the mountain in hopes that she is still there waiting for him.
She sees his running up the mountain from a distance. The urge to call him was too strong but she would rather watch his heartbreak from afar than let him succumb to the fate his beloved Sultan had for him.
"Show yourself, my love! Please, show yourself! I would rather die of the Sultan's curse than live a lonely life without you! For all the sacrifices that you have made, for all the suffering you went through, and for all the choices that I should have made, please forgive me for I was blinded. I beg of you, please show yourself."
She could feel the sincerity and love in his voice. The desperation for him to see her again. But...
"Please forgive me, dinda. If you allow me to walk on this land that you step on and breathe the same air with every beat of your heart, give me a sign. Just one sign because truly, dinda, I love you."
Silent tears cascaded down her cheeks, her heart, unwilling to go but her mind tells her otherwise. He will die if he catches even the slightest glimpse of you.
"Tuah," his name on her lips like a prayer.
He feels a hand on his back and slowly turns around.
"Yes, I am here, waiting for you."
