I Crave

I crave your touch.
This morning as I lay captivated by the warmth of your eyes,
My body drew near.
For there was only light in the space you most gloriously occupied.
As your essence became whole,
I felt my soul scream, "You are the one!"
But my legs have stopped.
The shock on my face altered only by the sight of your outstretched hand.
But how can I approach you in this way,
Knowing not what to say to promise you happiness for a lifetime.

I crave your attention.
Correction.
I crave the beautiful silence that your smile provides.
Knowing that my words have travelled the distance to unlock the joy in your heart.
I cannot begin to tell you the rate at which my heart danced,
Until I saw you and it refused to start.
My eyes took charge,
Glowing as they sang tales of your beauty from head to toe.
But I know that my lips had the strongest connection,
For they managed to whisper "Hello".

I crave your love.
For your personality has slow danced her way to my heart.
And I cannot fathom a world without you.
Could it be true, that love was meant for me and you?
Let us pretend now.
Let's show the world how we revolve around it.
Counting the days until our paths are in alignment.
When something magical happens.
I take your hand,
And you take mine,
And with this love, I crave your time.
