Prelude

"Tell me a story Papa."

"Isn't it a bit late? You should be asleep."

"B-but…I can't sleep."

"Oh alright, but do you promise to go right to sleep after?"

"Promise!"

"Do you see that forest out there?"

"Uh-huh."

"Do you know what's out there?"

"No."

"Well, people say that there are magical creatures in that forest that keep the balance of life and death."

"Wow."

"These creatures are called nymphs, and they create everything you see out there."

"Like you Papa?"

"Not exactly. I create machines that help people like that engine at the windmill. No, what the nymphs create is life. From the trees to the squirrels, the nymphs create it all. When something dies in the forest, their essence is taken and used again to create something new. Alright, now Jericho it's time to go to sleep."

"Okay Papa."

"I love you."

"I love you even more!"

A.N.

Guess who's back? Well kind of. Senior year's getting pretty darn hectic. I pretty much do nothing but eat, sleep, work and do schoolwork all day, every day. But I haven't forgotten about this account, don't you worry. Plus this story is pretty much done so look forward to regular uploads. This is the first new story I've written in a while, but I feel like I've gotten better with all of my English and writing classes. Thanks to all of you who have stuck around. Roses for everyone.
