Prologue

Not so long ago, in a place closer than you think, there stood a mansion at the end of a secluded road. This, my dears is the scene of our twisted little tale. Enter darlings, but beware of what awaits behind the oak wood doors. For secrets and greed run rampant here, and the price to pay will destroy us all. If you should dare to partake, take heed. A dinner party with thirteen fine guests is what you'll see. Each with their own dirty little secret, and all willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their tale never sees the light of day. So join us for a little treat. Mind your manners and your heart. Leave dignity and modesty at the door. There is no room for the prissy and the profligate in the Manderly Estate. Who among them will survive? Everyone knows its win or die. Who will play these twisted little games?

Our guests are fine and fair of face. No one is safe from our Host, you see. In a suspenseful showdown, the guests must figure out who among them is the King or Queen of Death. Is it Dr. Marina Hyland with the knife, or perhaps Sir. Martin Casterly with the axe? Who knows what hides behind the double doors. Thirteen people at the table, take note.

Miss. Phaedra Hoang, the Shadow Queen. A spider spinning a web of deadly lies.

Sir. Martin Casterly, who has seen it all. A tale of treacherous deceit and anguished cries.

Ms. Anita Brown, tall and dark. Her bloody secrets will not end well.

Madame Alexandria, French and cold. She will see you all in hell.

Mr. Theodore Rivers, the odd one out. Nothing will save him from the game.

Mrs. Edeline Hamilton, meek and mild. Believe and only you will be to blame.

Mrs. Lyanna Stanford, who survived. A wicked husband you'd surely find.

Dr. Marina Highland with everything to lose. Only one thing will give her peace of mind.

Lord and Lady Manderly, reclusive to the end. Never to be apart in this life.

Maid Liat, dark of skin and light of heart. Living in a world full of strife.

Mr. Brandon Mullins, a leech, a sleaze, a wretched soul. Come and hear his shady past.

The butler, who says nothing and hears everything. He will make sure the game does last.

Nothing can stop what will happen tonight. So come along for the ride, but do not interfere. It is their job to solve the crime. Pick the poison, and tell the lies. Soon they will learn nothing is ever what it seems in the Manderly Estate. Tricks and turns lay around each bend. And no one knows who is a friend. A thief, a Madame, a doctor dear. Each one playing to the end. Love will be lost, secrets revealed. And when all is said and done, only one can win the game.

They can either destroy each other, or die in the process. For this is a game of death. A game of Clue, if you will. A Cludoesque tale with quite a bit more murders, sex, and blood. For this is no place, or story for the faint of heart. It is too late to turn back now for one does not simply leave the game. This will be their legacy. A shameful movie that all will see. Unless they solve this crime, my dear. That will make it all disappear.

But there is not simply one solution, oh no. Four endings in all, each one showing how they will fall. Choose a path, and stick to the plan. Nothing can stop us now, sweethearts. Each ending sings a new song of death and greed. None of them follow any certain creed. Those that die will not come back. Instead, the world they know will fade to black.

I hereby decree this game has commenced. Our players are all at the starting gate. Learn the trade, and learn the game. Learn the rules, and make them pay. On with the story, on with the play! Who dares to play this little game?
