To My Little Brother

When we were young, we were carefree.

I didn't need a best friend, there was always us.

We didn't even need toys, just teepees

We made from found twigs and branches.

When we were younger- and free,

Everyday adventures didn't feel like such a squeeze.

School was shorter, homework didn't bury us;

We had plenty of time for pleasures.

When we were young, there were no restrictions.

Hanging out with you was such a breeze;

I'm sorry that seems to have stopped for us.

I wish it could be just you and me.

When we were young, it was always us.

You'll always be a little guy to me,

Begging for the misadventures,

Playing under trees.
