Chapter 13: She Wants You and Only You Part 3

Elaine took a step closer to them and almost slipped on the ice. She decided to stop walking toward them and her hair grew even longer. The demonic head showed his sharp hairy fang at them.

"I think I got an idea," Rock said as a small smile appeared on his face.

Elaine became cautious when she saw the smile on the dragon face and watched what he was doing.

"Another great idea dragon?" Hemol sarcastically replied.

"Better than yours so far Emo."

"Hemol!"

"She is wet. So I need to freeze her and- "he stopped whispering his plan and gulped, "But I might kill her," he commented, not liking his idea anymore.

"She's trying to kill us!" the vampire bat yelled.

"Y-yeah. Got a point there Emo."

"Hemol! Hemol!"

"Although, I'm not sure if I can get her," the dragon nervously said as he observed her.

"I'll get her," the bat suddenly said as he marched forward. When he reached the ice, he stopped walking and watched her with one of his hand on his hip, "Crazy female human. Prepare to be destroyed. It's a do or die bitch."

Elaine yelled back, "I am not a bitch savage beast!"

Her demonic hair came toward the vampire bat, ready to tear his body appeared, but Hemol simply grinned. He suddenly ducked down and used his shadow to push him toward her. He slid on the ice closer to her while the hair was behind him.

She quickly retracted her hair back to her and tried to stop the bat from reaching her, but her hair was too slow. Hemol was near her and kicked her gut and sent her away, sliding on the ice until she rolled on the grass.

"Emo!" the dragon yelled as he showed with his hands that he should have sent her the other way.

"Hemol!" the other one replied, before realising his little mistake and sighed. He turned toward the girl, ready for her next move.

Elaine vomited on the grass as she covered her stomach with her hands. When she calmed down, she saw the fist of the vampire bat shadow coming at her. She rolled on the ground and evaded the attack before returning on her feet. The shadow sank in the ground, but her hair grabbed the wrist and forced it to return to the surface. A part of her hair maintained its grasp while the other one turned into a fist and punched violently the snout of the vampire bat.

Blood busted out of Hemol snout as he felt on his knee and grunted painfully, "Motherfucker! That's the second time this month!"

Elaine hair tried to punch the shadow another time, but a spike of ice cut the hair and freed the shadow.

Hemol shadow reconnected with him as he covered his snout with his hand.

"You're okay?" the dragon asked.

"What do you think?" he grunted.

They frowned when she walked closer to them, stopping near the ice, "I am tired of seeing your face. You two are going to die now," she glared at them with her hair growing even longer than before. As it grew longer, she started to pant a little.

"Emo. Maybe we should force her to grow her hair again and again until she's exhausted," he suggested.

"Hemol! And I prefer breaking her face," he protested.

Her hair came at them and they dodged it by rolling on the ground. The vampire bat saw her hair coming at him and biting his chest. He grunted painfully before he grabbed the hair and tore it apart with his huge strength. His shirt was ruined and it pissed him off, "Second school uniform damaged. That's going to cost soon."

"You don't have to worry after that in the afterlife!" she yelled at him.

Her hair regrew and retook the shape of a demon head and came to him. Hemol stood ready. A wall of ice appeared and the demon head crashed against it. The wall cracked.

Rock slid on the ice and skated toward her with a sharp ice stick. He threw it toward her and scratched her left leg. Elaine turned toward him, her eyes burning with fury and hatred and was about to attack him when a loud sound resonated.

Hemol broke the ice of wall with the combination of his punch and the punch his own shadow. The shadow of the bat grabbed the hair and pulled. She flew toward him and saw the vampire bat grinning as he was ready to punch her face. She used a small part of her hair to create a shield and when she was punched on her forehead; her hair partially absorbed the impact. She was thrown away and rolled on the ground.

The vampire bat grunted when his hand started to bleed, "Fuck. She turned her hair into spikes too."

Rock stopped skating near the girl and watched her, "Just give up Elaine! It's over! You're the second one who tried to end my friendship with Kevin and it won't happen!" He took a deep breath and furiously yelled, "He's my only friend and things like grades won't change it!"

Hemol added nothing, but remained on his guard.

She turned toward the dragon. Her face was lightly disfigured by the blow on her face as a bump formed on her forehead. She glared at him and declared, "You're demise will," before her hair grew toward Hemol.

The vampire bat ducked, but gasped when his headphone felt off his head. He covered his head and painfully grunted when the sound of the rain falling on him and his surrounding sounded like thousands and thousands of explosions every second. He searched for his headphone and saw it far away, based on his current predicament.

Rock was bitten on his ankle by the demonic head made of hair and pulled toward Elaine. He tried to resist, but was lifted in the hair. He tried tearing the hair apart, but didn't have the strength of Hemol. The fang entered deeper in his flesh as he tried finding a way to escape when he grinned as he realised that it was easy. He grabbed the hair again and froze it, stopping the fang from penetrating in his flesh anymore, but freezing his ankle by the same occasion. The dragon hit the ice with his fist and broke it.

With his leg ankle free, he landed on the ground and rolled for a second before he stabilised himself. He panted loudly as he watched the girl.

She was yelling as she tried to break the ice, until she used her power to cut it. For a second, she was bald before it grew back the next second. Elaine was painting loudly as she watched them with hatred.

Hemol was getting closer to his headphone, but still had to walk a little before reaching it. Suddenly, he saw someone showing his headphone in front of him. He grabbed it and covered his ears with it.

Elaine yelled, "This time! You are dead!"

"That's enough Elaine!" someone yelled at her.

The female human gasped when she recognised the voice. She turned toward the source of the voice and saw Kevin near Hemol.

Kevin was a little nervous, but anger was dominating his face. He took a deep breath and chased his nervousness and declared, "I can't believe you are doing this Elaine! You are trying to kill Rock and Hemol!" He walked toward her, his eyes lightly shining.

The dragon noticed the rain was falling much faster around the boy.

"Kevin. My little love. It was for our own good," she started.

The boy facial expression didn't change as he replied, "For my own good? How is this for my own good? Rock is my best friend in town and you are trying to murder him for my own good! That's just... That's madness!"

"But his grade will drag you down and you'll-"

"Why must his grade be that important? He's the first one to talk to me and helped me when I needed. As for Hemol, I don't really know him, but you're also trying to murder him!"

Elaine weakly said, "Kevin. I did this because I love you."

The boy anger increased to a point where Rock was afraid that his other self might awaken again, "That's not love! You did this for your own sake! If you loved me, you wouldn't try to kill them and understand that Rock is my friend! Maybe you wouldn't accept it, but you should have tried to understand!" When he was closer enough from her, his eyes shined a little more as the gravity increased and stuck the girl on the ground with her demonic hair, "But you didn't. Elaine. Listen to me and listen well! I'll never forgive you for what you did! Never! Put this in your brain! It's over! I hate you and I don't want to see you again!"

The girl managed to move her head and looked at the boy, tears came out, but she tried to hold them up as she whimper. The gravity on her disappeared.

"Go!" Kevin ordered.

She stood up and looked at him. She didn't begged, she didn't ask forgiveness. She turned around and walked away.

Rock walked beside his friend and looked at his face. He saw tears coming out from them, despite the rain that partially hid it, "Kevin-" he couldn't find the right words to say.

"Don't worry. I'll get over it fast. Someone who wants to kill you is easier to forget... Right?" he asked.

Rock eyes became empty for a second as a cry of agony echoed in his mind. For an instant, he wasn't outside under the rain and felt small and young, "No," he replied as that cry of agony immediately subsided, deep within his mind.

Hemol said nothing and remained quiet the entire time as they watched the girl disappearing from their sight.

The boy washed his tears away and lightly smiled, "I'm glad your both okay."

"You saved us Kevin. Thank you," the navy blue dragon said.

Hemol crossed his arms and didn't look at them, "I won't thank you," he said nothing for a few seconds before grunting something quietly, but not enough for the dragon ears to not pick it up, "But that was brave."

"Emo just said you were brave Kevin!" Rock loudly yelled.

"Hemol!" he turned around and walked away and showed his middle finger at the dragon.

The dragon tapped the boy's back and said, "Let's go home."

And they started walking under the rain, as none of them had an umbrella.

When they were halfway home, the dragon commented, "You know-" he cut it out and said, "Nothing."

"Rock," his friend turned toward him, "No one is going to end our friendship. I promise."

"Me too," he replied with a smile.

"What's good is that I managed to pay it back to you two and saved you," Kevin commented with a small smile.

"That's good and-" he stopped when he realised what he said, "What do you mean by Emo saving you?"

Kevin looked in the air and replied, "Nothing."

The dragon sighed and didn't press it up, especially after he broke up with Elaine, "Oh yeah. Did you call you dad? I never saw him around the bridge."

The boy replied, "No. I didn't call him. She cannot be arrested for trying to murder you with your hair and... It's my business."

He didn't reply as they walked back home.

Kevin walked home and smelt meat cooking in the kitchen.

"Welcome back son!" Shaquir joyfully said, although there was some worrisome in the tone of his voice, "You came later than I thought and you didn't left a message to me or your mother. Did something happen?"

Kevin walked in the kitchen and his father saw him.

"You're okay?" the humanoid beetle asked as he came to him and checked him after he saw how wet the boy was. He sight in relief, "Nothing."

Kevin decided to reply, "Not really."

His adoptive father asked, "What happened? You can tell me if you want."

Kevin wasn't sure if he wanted to tell him, but they knew each other's secret about The Flow and he needed to tell someone. Knowing Shaquir, he could reveal everything, "I... broke up with Elaine."

Shaquir didn't reply, but his eyes were written with the word concern in capital letters.

"She has The Flow like me, Rock and Hemol. She... She tried- She tried to murder them. I stopped her and broke up with her. That was enough and she left," he then explained with more detail what happened.

The humanoid Hercules Beetle kneeled down and said with concern, "You should have called me. I could have deal with this situation. It could have ended badly. I'm not angry son, but it was a dangerous situation. You are just learning how to control it and if she knew more than how to control it, it could have been bad."

"I-" the boy said nothing else as he looked at the floor.

Shaquir pulling him against his hard gut and said, "Kevin. You're still hurt by what she did. You aren't the only one who passed into things a little similar to that."

"What do you mean?" the boy asked as the Hercules Beetle gently pushed him away to look in the boy's eyes.

"You know Set. My co-worker?" he asked.

Kevin nodded positively.

"He also had poor grades compare to me since I first met him at m school. We became friends at middle school and when we were at High School, my grades were around 90% and his were around 65%. I was often pressure by my teachers, other students and some of my friends to just leave him behind because he would drag me down, which isn't true. Only my family backed me up during that time," he lightly chuckled and continued, "I refused and asked if he wanted to improve his grades. I told him that no matter what he chose, I'll never give in to them. He said one thing that I won't tell since it's impolite. Next exam, he got 97% and told everyone that... let's say the polite version. He wanted to make them shut up."

"How?"

"He always could do it, but wasn't really motivated," he lightly chuckled, "I think he wanted everyone to stop pressuring me, he never told me why thought. Anyway. What's important to know is that you should follow your heart and not what the other's told you. Because your heart-" he lightly pocked the boy's chest, "-is at the right place."

Kevin lightly smiled and said, "Thanks."

The humanoid beetle felt joyful of that moment they shared together, although he would have preferred that they boy didn't have his heart wounded by his ex-girlfriend.

The fire alarm activated and Shaquir yelled, "My roasting meat!" he checked and it was burned. He sighed since it was wasted. He turned toward the boy and said, "Guess it's Pizza tonight."

Elaine walked in her house and was quiet as she climbed the stairs leading to her chamber.

"Hello s-" her mother noticed her mood, "What happened? Did someone tried to hurt you?"

"No," she said as she cleaned her tears, "Kevin broke up with me."

She hugged her daughter and pat her back, "Come here poor one. That boy-" her mother was interrupted.

Her father came and said, "You didn't use everything to keep him with you Elaine. Remember our family motto. You do everything to have what you want no matter what. That's how I became the mayor of this town and married your beautiful mother."

"Don't speak to her like that," her mother said as she defended Elaine.

Elaine didn't reply as she continued cleaning her eyes. Her sorrow was slowly changing to anger as she heard her father words.

Her father ignored what her mother said, "What makes him broke up with you? There must be something that you could have done more like-"

"It's because I did what you said that he broke up! I hurt him and he will never forgive me!" she yelled at him before going in her chamber.

She climbed in her bed covered with blue sheet and put her head into the pillow as she cried and thought back how the one she loved hated her now. What her father said brought back some memory of her youth in her mind.

The first one was what her father taught her. It was that when she wanted something, she had to do everything to obtain it, just like how her father did. She remembered her father always being aggressive when he was a deputy and with anything going in his way. She remembered her father telling her that he got a promotion by imprisoning a co-worker and forcing him to remain silent about it.

In middle school, she put those lessons into practice. She always had good result. One day, she was bullied by two other girls and did what her father wanted. She beat one of her bully to the blood until she broke her jaw. Her father was proud of her, but her mother wasn't and warned her that violence wasn't accepted in school. For the second bully, she destroyed her reputation by changing her reputation to a whore and that bully changed school after she tried to commit suicide.

She told her father what she did and he was proud of her. He encouraged her to keep acting that way and she will succeed in life and had everything she wanted.

It was with that reasoning that she tried to eliminate Rock and Hemol with her power. She never realised it, but her power awoke during her first year at High School. Why? It was stimulated by Hemol who was often near her in class and awoken during the raining season last year.

When her thought returned to Kevin, she whispered, "Dad teaching was wrong... I lost my little love."

With that realisation, she knew it was pointless to obtain forgiveness from Kevin or tried to win him back. She just had to live for the rest of her life with her heart broken and learned to accept it.
