When they returned home with everything they brought, they were a little tight with Shino, being the fourth passenger on the motorcycle. Kailus has to push himself forward to give them space and Mika was squeezing in his lard.
The atmosphere was a quiet one on the return. Shino was grunting with the angel holding behind him. He made no comment about it thought.
The two demons were quiet as they thought of the robots that assaulted them and the mark they had on it. Kailus gazed at Mika and saw a bit of her face. She wasn't smiling and was avoiding his gaze.
The big demon was getting a little worried for her but was still glad that she was safe and unhurt. They reached their home.
Chapter 14: The One Who Dream To Genocide Demons
Kailus grabbed Shino on his back as they returned in the home.
"Mika. Can you get us the med kit?" Kailus asked as he checked his wound on his chest.
"Y-eah," she replied as she grabbed the med kit.
Kailus put Shino on the chair and said, "You need to get those bullets out of you right now."
"I know, I don't want to get an infection Kailus," the Hell Shinobi replied as he checked on his back, "You gonna help me get that last one Kailus. I'm not counting on the angel and Mika is a little too delicate to handle something like that."
"Of course," Kailus replied.
Mika came back with the kit and the big demon opened it up. He gave the pliers to the shinobi who started to take off the bullets in his flesh. Kailus grabbed the bandage and the angel grabbed it.
"I'll bandage you Kailus," the angel said.
"Hum. Sure," Kailus replied unsure.
Toel started bandaging his superior, "That's the little things I can do to make up for my late coming."
Shino painfully grunted when he took out a bullet out of his body.
Kailus gazed at Mika who was still quiet. The big demon was getting a little more worried for her. She wasn't acting as she usually would.
"Kailus. What did you mean when you said that he was back?" the angel asked.
"You didn't see their logo you shitty angel?" the shinobi asked.
"Nope. Whose logo is from?" Toel innocently asked.
"Gein," Kailus and Shino replied.
Shino grunted when he took the last bullet he could, before turning to his back, waiting for the big demon to take it away.
Toel finished bandaging the big demon.
Kailus grabbed the pliers and took out the last bullet.
"Damn you hurt!" Shino grunted before grabbing the bandages and the disinfectant.
"Gein hum? My-" the angel was quiet, "I heard about him a lot. He is someone who wants to exterminate the demons, because he saw your kind as some parasite that we should get rid off," the angel frowned as it turned around.
They all heard that the angel kept quiet about something. The shinobi was about to ask something, but Kailus frowned and nodded negatively.
"But-" Shino was about to ask something but once again by Kailus grunting, "Fine. I'm going to find who's that 'my' another time."
The angel sighed in relief, a little too loudly as they heard it.
"Who's Gein?" Mika asked.
Kailus sat on his sofa and gazed at her, sitting on the ground near him. The demon was sure she would already try to be on his gut already, to annoy him, but she wasn't. He knew for sure that something was going on but decided to answer her question first.
"Except from the face that he wants to exterminate demons? There are a few things I heard about him," he replied as he thought back, "He must be an old man by now, maybe around 85 years old. He is one of the oldest evil still alive and active in his dream of exterminating my kind. I have fought against his inventions once or twice when I was at the top of my villainy career. I mean, I was standing up a lot and was ambushed those times with his mechanical armors."
"You sure came out all fine and well Kailus," Shino said with a small smile, "Because a few villains didn't end up as well as you when Gein targeted them."
"I was sure that Gein was out of the way when he did nothing for a few years," the big demon gazed at the others, "Even when I stopped being a villain, I was still watching news about, when you were asleep Mika," he precise. He thought more about it and said, "Never seen what he really looks like. Anyway… With everything's going on, what happened should be on the news," Kailus concluded as he opened the television.
They watched it and saw a news reporter with his mic in his hand, "Hello every-" he dropped the mic. and felt on the ground. The man stood up and nervously said, "S-sorry. Anyway. Here's Jim at the scene of the crime."
"So, the reporters can be clowns too hum?" Shino chucked as he finished treating his wounds.
"As you can see. Those machines entered in the mall and caused mass destruction in the mall. The machines were targeting a specific species. They aimed at the demons and tried to kill them. As you know it doesn't happen very often that someone hostile targets them like that. We are going to ask some new detail to the super hero who came to search for clubs about who's the criminal. Mister Archel. Can you give us a second please?"
When they saw the face of Archel, Shino felt sick, "An angel."
Toel was gulping when he saw the face of the angel, looking very similarly to him. The angel tail tapped the floor nervously as he played with his fingers.
"Something wrong?" Kailus asked.
The angel didn't reply. The demons guessed that it didn't want to tell the true.
"What is it my clumsy reporter who is the most honest of them all?" the angel Archel replied.
The true always hurt, as it made the demons chuckled loudly.
"Y-yeah. We are wondering if you got any clues about who might do something like that? Whoever it is who made them, that criminal broke one of the sacred law," Him asked.
The angel nodded, "We already figure it out who is the guilty here. He left a logo on the robots. The criminal is Gein, one of the neo-demon hunters who's once worker by the side of the Nazi. Anyway, Gein is the guilty one. Although it was violent and brutal, I fear that the man was simply testing them."
"Anything you want to add?" the man asked.
"A few things. I know most viewers doesn't listen to class, so they don't know what the sacred law is. The law is simply that it forbids the hunts of the demons, humans or angels. Only the evils are still breaking those sacred laws, while us heroes and villains are respecting those. Of course, villains break any other laws except the sacred one. The other thing is that I, Archel, seventh more powerful super heroes of the Earth, vows to hunt down Gein and make him face the consequences of his crimes. He has been escaping it for far too long already and I shall hunt him down until my final breath. Anyway, will you excuse me, I got to go," the angel asked as he pointed at the scene of the crime.
"Sure," Joe replied.
The angel walked outside of the camera range, by was just in there long enough for the demons, Toel and Mika to see that the angel only clothes was a speedo, which meant that they could see the angels butt cheeks.
"He is worst than Toel and he is a super hero!" Kailus furiously yelled.
"I'm the most dressed of my kind while he's… kinda at the other side," Toel admitted.
"You wear the most!" Shino yelled before sighing, "Not surprised."
"I really am," the big demon said as he lightly tapped his belly, checked on Mika as he tempted her. No reaction came from her.
They continued watching the news but learned nothing more than what happened.
"I guess Gein won't make a speech or highjack the TV station," Shino concluded.
The big demon nodded, "And nothing about us. We were the one who destroyed those robots."
"They didn't check the camera yet. It happened not long ago," the shinobi commented.
"Maybe tomorrow," Toel suggested.
The big demon nodded as he continued gazing at Mika. Her mood wasn't getting better and the demon decided it was time to do something. He stood up and grabbed Mika, "That's enough of this Mika. You're coming with me alone," he said before walking in his chamber.
"W-wait!" Mika yelped, taken by surprise.
The angel and the other demon gazed at each other's others. Not sure what happened or why this suddenly happened.
Kailus checked the door and casted a spell on it, just to make sure that no one would bother them. He put Mika on the bed and sat by her side.
"What's going on?" Mika asked as she gazed at the floor.
Kailus grumbled as he used his tail to pull her closer to him, "That's my question Mika. What is going on with you. You are acting in a weird way since the mall."
"N-no. I'm not acting weird Kailus," she quickly replied.
That didn't convince the demon at all, "A poor lie Mika," he gently pinched her cheek.
She grumbled before massaging her cheek, not facing the big demon, "I'm not lying."
"Try to tell that to anyone else, but a demon. We are great liars and we know when someone is lying. I know there is something going on. You're been acting differently than you always do."
"Prove it," she asked.
The demon found her more stubborn than the usual, but decided to play along, "You are not smiling or find it funny when the reporter drop his mic. You were sitting on the ground. You didn't try to annoy me. More importantly, you weren't on my belly when you'll always use the chance to jump on. I even tempted you."
"Oh," she simply replied.
"Oh? There is more to say that just that," he replied. He was frowning at her stubbornness as frustration came. He was getting worried for her and she was trying to make him even more unease, "Tell me the true right now Mika. I want to know what happened. I know something bad happen, really bad. Answer me now Mika. What is troubling you that you don't want to annoy me and be… sad?"
He put his hand on her shoulder and pulled her against his flank, "I order you to give me an answer," he raised her head and forced her to look in his eyes. It was long before she tried to look away.
"It's because of the fight right? You were afraid I would die?" he lightly chuckled, "I'm way too tough for that Mika."
She looked down once again, but this time, Kailus knew what was going on. It wasn't just fear or something like that.
"Why are you ashamed of yourself Mika?" the big demon asked. He grabbed her and put her on his lap, making her face him and looked in his red eyes.
Mika was forced to look into the eyes of the skull headed demon and whimper, "I…"
The demon pat her back. He was a little shaming himself in consoling her. He was a villain demon, but he liked Mika a lot and it pained him to see her that way, "Just tell me why. There is no reason for you to be ashamed of anything."
"But-" she didn't reply and tried to get off the demon lap, but the tail forced her to stay there, "I don't want to-"
"Mika!" he aggressively ordered, expressing his annoyance on her stubbornness.
Mika was surprisingly quiet. It was a very long time ago that Kailus used a more threatening tone at her. The last time was when she was kidnapped by the demon. It was many decades ago, "Okay," she fearfully replied.
Kailus realised how he ordered it and his expression softened.
The little girl whimper once again and put her hand on the tail that held her, "I'm a coward," she said it quietly, but the demon heard her.
"A coward. Why?" the demon gently asked, now that she was starting to speak. He pulled her closer to him, but she didn't try to touch him.
"I…" she hesitated to reply. Her eyes seemed to swollen as she tried to hold her tears, "I was… too scared."
"Scared of what Mika. Tell me," he pulled her almost against him, waiting for her to answer.
Tears came out of her eyes, "I didn't help you Kailus. You needed my help against those robots and I was there. I saw your life in danger and them ready to kill you. I wanted to help, but…" she gulped, "I just stood there and shook like a coward," she cried loudly now.
The big demon saw the little girl crying. He released her from his tail and pulled her against him. Mika grabbed the gut of the demon and squished herself against it, "I was scared!"
The big demon put his hand on her back and pushed her even more against him, "There there Mika. Let it out."
He let her cry against him. Kailus knew that she had to let it out. Despite being much older than she looked like, she still acted as a child as her brain didn't mature while her soul did. He let her rubbed her face for a while. He mentally told himself how much of a big teddy he was right now, but it was helping Mika.
She pressed herself even more as she sank deeper into the lard of the demon.
Kailus rested on the bed and let her cry more and more. Eventually, she calmed down and tried to climb off the demon's. The big demon maintained her against him and whispered, "Don't go Mika. I have a few things to tell you. Just hug me and let me speak."
"But-" she was cut when the demon tapped her cheek. She obeyed and hugged the belly of the demon. It somehow made her feel a little better, against the warm and comfy demon.
"I'm not mad that you were scared Mika. I'm not angry that you were afraid," he tapped her cheek once again and said, "I'm glad you didn't come to help me. I'm really glad you stayed there."
"But you needed my help. I have the ring and I could have helped you. If Toel wasn't there-" she didn't want to imagine what would have happened to him and Shino.
"Mika. I would feel that bad if you were hurt," he softly replied as he tapped her back. The big demon lightly smiled, "Besides. You are not a coward Mika. I know you aren't. If you were, you wouldn't dare have used me as a playground, or when you giggled when you threw that ball in my belly button. Remember?" he asked.
Mika sobbed as she lightly giggled, "Yeah. It was stuck in there for a while."
"I still don't know how you managed to put in there, the very day I didn't put a shirt," he heard her giggled a little more.
She hit the two side of his belly, just around his belly button and said, "And that's how I got it out."
"Yes Mika," he giggled a little. He knew it was laughing about his bad luck, but making Mika giggled was worth it.
Mika was feeling a little better as pushed herself a little and looked at Kailus, "I'm sorry Kailus. I should have been braver."
"Don't apology Mika," he said as he stopped squishing her against him.
She jumped from his belly and hugged the demon, her arms around his neck, "You're not angry?"
"Of course, I'm not," he replied. He grumbled, "I think I should stop acting like a good little demon. It's a little weird."
"Yeah. I missed the grumpy demon," she replied as she sat on his chest. She gave a kiss on the demon snout. Then she jumped back on the stomach of the demon and giggled.
"Enough now Mika," he grumbled, "We should get out now. I'm sure they are trying to spy on us," he pointed at the door.
She nodded and when the big demon stood up. She slid on the bed and joined him.
Kailus opened the door and behind it, they saw Shino giggling as he looked at the big demon while Toel had his arms crossed.
"That belly button is really that big," the angel said.
The big demon glared at Shino and grunted loudly, "You accursed spy!"
"I know many tricks to listen to you Kailus," the shinobi lightly calmed down and stood near the little girl. He took out a lollipop and told her, "Kailus is right Mika. You are a brave little girl, but not a foolish one. Staying there was the best decision. So, don't cry okay?" he pat her head and gave her the candy.
She grabbed it and looked at the shinobi who smiled at her.
The big demon puffed his cheeks and grunted, "She's better you accursed bastard. You heard about that story."
The duo nodded.
"Dammit!" he grunted.
"You big softy," Shino giggled.
"Enough," the demon blushed at the tease as he was about to cast a spell, "Anyway, we have to get ready. We have to think about fighting the next hero and getting ready for whatever Gein planned for us."
"Yes Kailus," Toel replied.
"Trying to-" the shinobi demon dodged a punch and replied with a smile, "Okay."
Kailus gazed at Mika and lightly smiled, "You are better when you are happy Mika."
"I promise I won't let you down again Kailus," she said.
"You didn't," the big demon whispered.
