"Don't be so quick to think you know what you are talking about", she pushed her phone into her bag roughly and leaned back into her chair, crossing her arms below her chest.
He glanced at the profile of her jaw and leaned back into his own seat, shrugging, "I don't want to know."
He scoffed and her eyes narrowed, shoulders tensing and she stretched her arms out on the table, flexing her fingers.
In the silence, his eyes moved along her pale wrists to her breast. His hands moved to rest on his thighs above his jeans and he closed his eyes, leaning his head back.
He could feel her grow tenser in the air and smirked. "Why are you so awkward?", he drawled out the word, feeling a laugh catch in his throat so he leaned forward and ran a hand through his hair, shaking out his sleeves.
Her eyes watched his thumbs catch the material and cover his knuckles, her expression raw with anger and something else.
She bit her lip and turned away, then suddenly shoved the table away and stood. Lee's elbows slipped and his expression tightened, looking up at her, but she was gone, walking to the door.
"Where are you going!" His voice was laced with annoyance and she didn't answer. He sighed heavily and covered his eyes with an arm.
"Do you want me to wait for you," her gaze was quiet, she glanced at the area above his shoulder and her bottom lip quivered.
Lee felt something in his chest jump and the desire to touch her cheek was overwhelming.
"No…"
Lee stood and kicked the table, cursing under his breath.
