A Day's Life

The clouds slant forward

As they drift across the sky,

Leaning in direction

Of the wind blowing high.

With a wide open backdrop

Of a bright turquoise blue,

Their puffy white billows

Reflect the sun's golden hue.

The sun sinks down

And it melts away the day

Making extra room

For the moon and Milky Way

The stars twinkle brightly

Suspended in deep space.

The Sun spins on it's axis

Earth wobbles in it's place.

The world is never fully dark

Nor completely light

We are on the side we see

That makes it day or night!
