5Dion screeched like a banshee, and I took that opportunity to run off towards my car, locking myself inside the moment I closed the door.

I released a shaky breath before turning on my engine and racing away from the parking lot, only slowing down once I turned into my neighborhood.
How is it that school just started and so much shit has happened already?
Running up the stairs, I decided to just run a bath and eat dinner and worry about school later.

The next day, Dion was nowhere to be found. Whispers followed me wherever I went, but when I tried to ask anyone what they were whispering about, no one would answer. But when I was called up to the office, it all made sense.
Turns out some freshmen were hiding in the corner of the parking lot and actually saw Dion and I fighting and got the whole thing on tape. After threatening to spread the video all over the internet, Mr. Kane had no choice but to protect the reputation of the school by expelling Dion.
Of course, the freshmen being freshmen still managed to spread the video around, which is why everyone was whispering about me. I got Dion Cox expelled.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
Exiting the office with a spring in my step, I rammed into Tyler as soon as I stepped foot outside the building.
"What the fuck?"
"Sorry," Tyler sheepishly said. "I was actually waiting outside for you."
I raised an eyebrow at his words. "Why would you do that?"
"Congrats, you got captain. Franco had no excuse not to give you the spot after what happened with Dion."
"What about you?"
"Well, obviously I got vice-captain," he smirked wrapping his arm around my shoulders and tugging me to walk alongside him. "Aren't you excited for the season?"
"You wish," I rolled my eyes, pushing his arm off me as I ran towards my friends to tell them the good news.
