Chapter 6 - The Trophy

"Hi, Mom!" George said.

"Hello, George!" his mom said.

"Guess what, Mom?"

"Well, I'll tell you the whole story!" George said. "I went to Brendan's house, remember? The doorknob was like a combination lock! I...uh...played video games with Brendan until all of a sudden, there was a robot and it demolished Brendan's house!"

"Oh, no!" his mother gasped.

"Then, I was grabbed by the robot, it smashed its way through the house, and Brendan was trapped in the rubble, and then he rescued me. After that, we began to fight it, but another one showed up. We defeated the robots, and then Brendan's mom drove us home, and here I am! Ta-daaaaa!"

"Wow, that was quite an adventure, George!" his dad said. Brendan and his mom left the house to buy something for George. When they came back, George saw a flash of gold.

"A trophy? Wow!" George said.

"Let's read it, okay?" his mom said.

The plaque on the trophy read: "George defeated the Ultimate Toughie-Robots on July 10, 2004."

"Wow, that's excellent, George!" his mom said as she took off the $50,000 price tag.

"Yes, it sure is!" George said with a smile.

"Was it fun?" Brendan's mom asked.

"It was a mixture of fun and terror," Brendan said to her.

Hours later, everyone at the mansion ate supper. For supper, there was a shrimp ring, taco salad, macaroni salad, Caesar salad with croutons, a turkey, chicken wings, French fries and ketchup, and best of all, a fudge cake!

After supper, with a full stomach, George and Brendan played video games for five hours. Then, the two pals went to bed.

"That was great, wasn't it?" George whispered to Brendan.

"Yes, it sure was," Brendan whispered back, and they fell asleep.

In the morning, a moving truck drove to George's mansion. All the stuff Brendan had in his house was moved into George's mansion, and a large crew cleaned up the area around Brendan's house before they drove away in fifty garbage trucks. George and Brendan lived together, and as you thought, they lived happily ever after.

The end.
