Pieter Stalenhoef is an active member of the Boston Security Analysts Society who is also a longstanding New England equity analyst. While working for on Wells Fargo Global Opportunities Fund, he focuses on media, consumer, and health care verticals.

While reading an article recently, Pieter Stalenhoef came to know about a continued robust outlook for the health care sector which has returned positive results in 17 out of last 20 years. The main reason behind these magnificent results is there is less competition in comparison to a lot of other sectors, thanks to the high barriers to entry. In Pieter's opinion, biotech has led the health care on the path to continued growth. As per an estimate, 30 biotech companies are expected to have reached or maintained profitability in 2019, with demand being driven by an aging population, obesity, and issues related to diet and lifestyle changes. Areas of growth also include biotech solutions for cancer, Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis, and thrombosis.
