"Give me platonic parents
Who have been best friends for years
And raise their children lovingly
Instead of neglecting them due to letting
That silly romance get in the way
Of child rearing, financing, and their relationship with each other!"
Well, let me tell you,
Dear "romance is terrible" crowd:
That's literally what any good parents do,
Romantically involved or no.
And parents who are incompatible
Are just individual cases
Showing that they should not be parents,
Or that romance just isn't for them,
Rather than an indication
That romantically-involved parents
Are inherently bad.
