Thank you everyone who has read this second book! It may take a while for me to start uploading the third book since I'm still writing it, but if you'd like to leave a review to inspire me and my muse, that'd be nice!
Sing a song of sixpence,
With a pocket full of rye.
The king hunted for a blackbird,
To bake in a pie.
When the pie was opened
The bird began to sing;
Wasn't that a dainty dish,
To set before the king.
The king kept the blackbird
And trained it as his pet
It stayed by his side
And went where he went.
The king was in his counting house,
Counting out his money;
The queen was in the parlor,
Eating bread and honey.
The maid was in the garden,
Hanging out the clothes,
When down came the blackbird
And pecked off her nose.
The king healed the maid
Promised her a coronet
Then he replaced the queen
And threw away his pet
Shortly thereafter,
There came a little raven
While the maid sat on a chair,
The bird pecked at her again.
Down fell the maid
And broke her dainty crown
Not even the king
Would raise her from the ground.
If the song seems familiar, it's adapted from a nursery rhyme that may or may not be a reference to King Henry VIII and his doomed first two queens.
