Epilogue

I opened my eyes and immediately heard the waves of the ocean. I looked at the clock and saw it was just 7 in the morning. I turned my body, faced the other side of the bed, and saw a figure snoring softly underneath a crumpled bedsheet. I pulled it and revealed one of the most gorgeous men I met.

With his stylish wavy blonde hair and short stubble that he had been trying to grow for the last couple of days, Theo Harwood slept as chaotic as he went through life. His other arm was raised to his head, revealing a well-toned body that didn't betray his age. That's an athlete's body for you.

I lay there for a couple of minutes, staring at this beautiful adonis sleeping beside me, and then, after a while, he began to wake up. Blinking his eyes to full functionality, he immediately saw me looking at him, and he gave me that stupid, sheepish grin that he always masterfully did. "Heya, stranger," he said with a smirk.

"Heya back," I said.

Without missing a beat, he shifted towards me, wrapped his muscly arms around my body, and snuggled against my chest. "You are so in love with me." He murmured. I buried my face in his bedhead hair, even though it oddly smelled like the ocean. Theo always smelled good, even from the first moment I met him. I was constantly surprised by how effortless he seemed, even before. Like, he could get up from the bed, and immediately, he would look gorgeous and smell gorgeous. It could be the pheromones, for all I know…

After a few minutes of snuggling, I felt Theo's rousing member rub against my thigh, and then I used this moment to tap him across the back. He smirked like the devil but kept his eyes closed the entire time. Feigning ignorance. "Whoa, Mr. Bonetown," I said, and he groaned. "Time to get up; we have a day ahead of us," I added.

"No!" He playfully replied and snuggled closer to me. "Let's just cuddle here all day!" He added and then continued to rub his thing against me. "And you didn't mind Mr. Bonetown last night, anyways."

I immediately broke off from his grasp and got up from the bed. Theo continued making faces and groaning. "Theo," I used my reprimanding voice. "We have to call your mom. It's dinnertime in New Jersey."

"Ugh, fine."

We got ready for the day. Rising from the bed, Theo grabbed the classic beach-esque white linen pants he bought from a tourist shop a few days ago and put them in. He did walk around the room completely topless, though, and I bet some side of him wanted me to watch him walk around bare-naked. So silly, I thought, shaking my head as he winked at me while going to the coffee table. I opened up my laptop, checked a couple of emails from my mom, and then sent a direct message to Claire to check if she was ready for the call.

"Sunny!"

"Hey, Claire!" I greeted with much energy. Theo rolled his eyes from behind the laptop again as he drank some coffee. I gave him a face to stop being mean, and he stuck out a tongue in response. So childish…

"So, how are you guys? How is the honeymoon?" She asked from the small window of the video call. "You look absolutely radiant, Sunny. No pun intended. I knew getting those tickets to Palawan was the right choice. It's a much better option than Thailand, too. I told Theo this several months before the wedding that I got this exclusive—"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Theo interrupted, getting into view of the camera. "Mom, Sunny's heard that story a thousand times." He said, taking a sip of his coffee.

"Oh, my," Claire gasped and tried to cover her eyes. "Get dressed, Theo. I'm your mother."

"I am literally wearing linen pants." That's true, except that Theo was topless, though.

I decided to step in. "We're very grateful, Claire," I told my mother-in-law as a way to steer her clear from doing a number on her son again. "The Philippines is so beautiful. Sorry if we haven't been able to message you back. The travel is kinda insane."

"So, Mom, why did you want us to call?" Theo asked.

"I just heard from Shanna that Erik and Dustin are traveling to Sweden for several weeks. Is this true?"

Theo shrugged. "Yeah," I responded. "Dustin called me more than a week ago, I think. He really wanted to backpack around Sweden. Although, I thought Erik wanted to go to Japan?"

"South Korea, babe," Theo corrected.

"Oh, right."

"Also," Claire continued. "Shanna, Marlene, and I plan to visit San Fraaaaaan as soon as you return!"

Theo snorted. "Nobody says that, Mom, but okay," he said mid-laugh.

"Theo, don't be sassy, oh my God," I told him.

"Thank the Lord He gave me you, Sunny," Claire said. "I would've disowned him years ago."

We continued talking for a while, and then we hung up on Claire when Theo decided to grab some breakfast at the resort restaurant. As soon as we stepped out of our cottage, we took a moment to look at the brilliant blue oceans of El Nido. Then, Theo reached for my hand and kissed me on the cheek.

"What was that for?" I asked.

Theo shrugged. "Nothing," he said with a smile. "Just appreciating my husband, that's all." He added.

"We're getting old for this, Theo," I said. Not that I mind growing old with you.

"Not that old," he said with such confidence. "Compared to other dads, we're basically twinks at this point." He added with a laughter.

I put a finger to his mouth. "Don't jinx it," I said. "Don't count your chickens yet."

"Any future certain," he said, holding my hand. "With you by my side."

Oh, Theodore Harwood…

And with that, we stepped out and headed to the resort to grab breakfast.

Fin.
