PEPPERMINT
"Can I have a peppermint?" She asked him, reaching her hand out and he looked at it, munching his candy in his mouth, a bag of lollies in his left hand's grip.
This girl had been asking him for five minutes to give her a sweet, and he had denied her, quite cheekily.
"Can I have one PLEASE!?" She demanded and he only chuckled, his belly bouncing with his laughter.
"No," He finally told her and her eyes went wide in shock and disbelief.
She left him then, storming away and he only grinned cheekily. He saw a homeless man down the street, the pathway he needed to head and something touched his heart right then.

The girl from earlier watched all of this, aghast, and she quickly came over to the homeless man once the young man had left.
She reached out her hand, asking with a big smile, "Can I have one?"
The homeless man just looked up at her, as he was sitting on the ground with an empty plastic cup for any change that people would give him. He squeezed the sweet bag tight and shook his head at her, saying.
"Nope!"
Her jaw dropped open, and she stormed away, her steps could even be heard echoing in the street.
The homeless man then opened up the bag and took out a few sweets, chewing on them hard before swallowing them and grinning to himself.
"Peppermint..." He said to himself in glee, "My favourite,"
