Prologue: End Of A Tale

There was a large city in ruin. The city still smoked from the destruction caused by an evil entity. The homes were in pieces. Most of them were gone and only a bit of rocks or woods showed any sign of life that was once in the city. They were a bit of arms, legs and other piece of human flesh that could be found on the ground. Still, the destruction wasn't over.

In the middle of a ruined city, filled with corpses of many warriors who died protecting the city and innocents, stood two warriors.

On one side stood a man in his early thirties. He had short black hair, face covered with scars and pale blue eyes that shined brightly. He wore a silver armor. It was covered by the blood someone else. The man held a long white sword in his right hand. His black hair flew by the wind as he watched his opponent.

His eyes showed little hatred for the one who stood in front of him. He raised his sword and pointed at him, "Put your instrument down and surrender."

In front of the man stood the one who destroyed the city and caused so many deaths and tragedies. He was a humanoid black snake with red dots on his body, a long black tail with red dots, a long neck and dark red eyes. He wore a crimson robe, a small axe held on his belt. In his hand, he held a yellow instrument that looked like a guitar, but emitted strange song when he played with the cords. He was known as The Dragon.

The Dragon snickered. He opened his mouth and his serpent tongue came out of his mouth, "Surrender? Fools. I destroyed this city with my mugic! I am only starting hero! Once I play with my final song! The world will be dead! Get ready for this show," he raised his left hand, ready to play.

The man charged towards him, never letting him a chance to play the first note.

The Dragon jumped back and avoided the blade. He grabbed his axe and blocked the next attack. He tried to push back the human, but struggled a bit.

"That last mugic cost a lot of your energy. I won't let you turn this world to ruin!" the man yelled.

"I have enough to end this world hero of ruins!" he said in a mocking manner, "You should just let me end everything? You will be with your wife and your friends once again," he twitched his head to the left side. His long serpentine tongue hissed, "Interested?"

The Dragon gasped when a knee dug in his gut and sent him a few feet away. He almost felt on his butt.

"No!" The hero charged.

Their weapons clashed. The two searched for an opening, but found none. The fight went on for a few minutes. Both too exhausted to use their best technique and their powers.

Eventually, the two jumped away and panted in exhaustion. Their body reached their limits.

The hero lost his balance and kneeled down.

"Hahahahaha!" the evil being laughed as he put his axe back in the belt. He grabbed his instrument, "Prepare yourself! You reached your limit and you can't stop me anymore! The end of the world is now!"

"You can still stop this! You can still listen to me!"

"Are you insane or completely stupid hero? Your words are empty and I don't care about that little speech! Just because you know me doesn't mean you can get me with some," he put his hands together and wiggled his tail and behind, "Sweet sweet words," he hissed, "Did you forget already? I killed your wife! I killed your friends! Your comrades! Everyone in this city! You think you can make just convince me to stop! It doesn't matter what you say! It's over!"

The hero summoned all of his strength. He was no fool. He knew The Dragon went too far. His little speech was indeed empty. He just made him talk. Give himself some time to heal and recover. He looked in the eyes of the monster that put everything in ruin. Despite everything he committed. He could see a glimpse of something. Still, it was way too late.

He felt his energy climbing fast. He made sure the other one didn't notice.

The humanoid serpent let out a loud evil laugh for a few seconds, before he held his instrument, "And now! My masterpiece! The Apocalypse!"

He began to play his mugic. The magical notes felt deadly and heavy. A magical symbol formed in the air as the mugic composed the end of the world.

The ground began to shake. The sky began to crack. The melody went on and slowly seemed to kill the planet.

The hero took a deep breath. He closed his eyes lightly as he used his magic to enhance his speed. He waited for the little moment The Dragon dropped his guard.

It quickly came and he charged. He closed the distance.

Alas, he noticed the hero coming at him. He stopped playing and grabbed his axe.

Their eyes crossed path for a second.

The two let out a war cry, but the human was more intense than the creature.

Then, silence. The mugic lost its power.

The Dragon gasped as his strength quickly left him. He coughed blood out of his mouth and nostrils. He looked down, he saw the long white sword, piercing his chest. He saw the two hands of the human that held the sword, but one arm was separated from the body.

The hero lost an arm. He winced in pain. The axe cut his arm. He bit his lips and avoided screaming in agony.

"Ha…" a weak laugh came out of the mouth of the creature, before his life ended.

The hero closed his eyes as he released his grasp on the sword.

The world was saved.

A young man gasped as he woke up. He put his hands on his forehead. He grumbled, "This dream again," he glanced at the side. He looked at the window. He watched the blue sky as the day began.
