4Author's note: I wasn't going to do an author's note to this chapter of a Prince of whales. Mostly because I didn't think I would have to do it again after having one chapter. There is a time jump in this chapter to move things along to about four to six years, so Alex is 22 and than 24 in this chapter. In a way this is a filler chapter before Alex and Aimee (The love interest) will meet for the first time. Aimee will likely appear near the end of this chapter of where she makes the move to Paris with her family. Aimee would be 20 in this chapter.
But that is not why I am making this author's note. Then main reason is because in the month since I posted this story. (It has been a month since I had posted this story as I am writing this.) I had about 11 or 12 pms from artists asking if I would like artwork made for My story, namely this one. About half of them mentioned this story as the inspiration for wanting to do artwork for my story. While I am glad that it has that affect on all that sent me those pm, currently I do not have plans to have cover art for my story, this one or my other two. Though the other one is the original story to this one.
For those artist, I did look at some of your artwork or the ones I could see if they actually left me links to where I could see it, I have to say that your works are beautiful. While I don't think I would change my mind about having cover art, that I wanted to say that to the artists.
Alex's pov
With everything Alex had done in the last four years that he was glad that he finally had his degrees in his major and minor program. He even has his certificate for bar tending as well, He got the certificate two years sooner than he did with his two degrees at Paris Nanterre. Now the he had finished his degrees that he is going to put them to go use to help more with the charities at Paris along with donating to other charities that he was interested in helping with. Like the Veteran aid charity or the charities that helped with cancer, some of the charities he worked with has a small branch in UK that Alex hopes would improve in time with he is helping with the charities
That was not the only thing he had been doing, he had made some friends with the nobles and member so of other royal families while he had been here. To top off that he was now one of the DJs at FIP, France Inter Paris, in the afternoon, from 12 to 6 pm. While in the evening from about 7:30 to 2 in morning that he works at Le Melville was a bartender. His French had improved over the last four years, of which helped him with his current jobs. With his apartment in La Réserve Paris complex and learning the ways in and out around his apartment that it was easy to go from one place of work to the other within the hour an half along with having some dinner.
With supporting charities and donating to some of them that Alex was kept busy once his jobs started up. Alex did make sure not to drawn to much attention to himself while at least working Le Melville, with FIP he was not seen on screen. He spoke French when he was on air, he also spoke French at Le Melville but there were a fair amount of people that didn't speak French and only English. Because of that when there was English speakers at the bar that Alex was the one that took their orders. With the following two years that Alex become quite happy in his current life, though he was aware that he would soon need to at least quit his two jobs and become Prince of Whales full time. However he wanted to find someone first to marry and have a life with her along with being sure that his wife would be able to handle the royal life. At the time, Alex was unaware at that moment an American family was moving to Paris.
Aimee's pov
Aimee was relieved that her parents and brother agreed to move to Paris when Aimee suggested it. With the charity work that she has been working on were focusing on we're in Paris. She wanted to move there to be closer to the charities sothat she could help out with the charities when needed to. As well as to help out with planning the fundraising for the charities. Though that was not quite the reason her parents and brother agreed to move to Paris, her brother was more interested in the nightlife and the parties, while her parents were more focused on either events that brought any attention to them. It didn't matter to her parents if the attention was good or bad, though her mother was more focused on fashion.
It has only been two months since Aimee and her family moved to Paris, she was on her way home from a fundraiser that went well into the night. Aimee had chosen to walk home that night, with the result that she got a little lost walking. She did noticed a couple of journalists and photographers following her, Aimee wanted to get them off her tail. As she was walking that she was looking at the different places to see were she could slip into so she could lose them. It was a few places down before Aimee decided to slip into what was called Le Melville, it was bar and restaurant. While the doorman allowed her to enter Le Melville that he didn't let the journalists and photographers in. Of which Aimee was glad, she walked over to the bar not knowing that night would change her life.
