Meteorite

Everything, she has seen
Everywhere, she has been
From the great beginning of it all
When eternity began
She has witnessed the birth of stars
And seen their explosive ends
Moved through out the universe
With out a care
With out a friend
She has orbited planets
Been sucked through abysses
That swallowed all including light
She let it all move by her
Giving it no thought
Putting up no fight
Even now, though placidly she lies
Away from he midnight velvet skies
Even at her adventures end
Alone with nothing to defend
She looks upon others and cries
For the sights never seen by their empty eyes
She sits a black and lonely shell
Insignificant, unnoticed, and plain
Hiding he great history
That she'll never ever tell
And we revel in her mystery
