Walk the snows
by Dana Williams

Speak to me of what you know
Trampled in new fallen snow
Walk the Snows until day breaks
Leave behind your rippling wakes

Listen to her for she knows
of things yet to be seen
and those that have been
She knows too well
And challenges much
Locking her in paradox
fire hot, and fire bright
untamed, burning soul
escape is not to far to go
and so alone she walks the snows

Speak to me of what you know
Trampled in new fallen snow
Walk the Snows in morning light
the path now leads you off to fight

the fire bright is burning fierce
the flame that burns so fast
has only just so long to last
She knows too well
continuing in her cause
you won't see her falter, pause
here the cry of her failure
the success of dreams eludes her
and so alone she walks the snows...

Speak to me of what you know
Trampled in new fallen snow
Walk the Snows in the golden sun
the deal is sealed, the deed done.

found again her escape complete
kind people now change the world
the divines plan seems unfurled
she thinks nothing
he path is set and there is no need to
and she is able to do what she must do
a strong new person, in a new life
but no allotment can be free of strife
and so alone she walks the snows...

Speak to me of what you know
Trampled in new fallen snow
Walk the Snows in twilight hues
gone again, they will pay your dues.

the snows eventually consume those who
walk them by habit and desire
forever gone, lost, is the fire
thought is surrender
they come in lines and armies
building to the sky, giant cities
she faded into the background
never wishing to again be found
leaving them to walk the snows...

Speak to me of what you know
Trodden in this mourning's snow
View the snow in the dead of night
radiating it's own unreal moonlight.

they speak to you of what I know
trampled in the ancient snow
we walked the snows in ages past
and come to realize her place at last

AN: this was from some sentence fragments I have a habit of scribbling on my writing spiral. It launched the story of one of my three oldest and favorite characters...look in empty eyes for another look at her and try to figure out if any of the other characters in one or the other. If I'm ever ambitious enough to write out what I've got brain stormed it'll be interesting. Yet I think I salvaged this adequately.
