Chapter Three
My name is Bailey. I am the same age as Natalie Beck, and I am in all her classes at school. I also go to school with a strange girl named Trina. I have shoulder-length, straight blond hair and freckles. My eyes are blue, unlike my little sister. She has chin-length hair like mine, and her eyes are violet. She doesn't have freckles.
Trina is a very weird girl. She's got wavy blond hair with black streaks and black eyes. She always seems angry. Her hair goes down a little past her shoulders. I'll stop being so observant now. Anyway, I really think that there's something weird about Trina. I know that my sister thinks something is wrong. Even though she's a grade below us, she's friends with Natalie and Lisa. By the way, Lisa has very long strawberry blond hair and green eyes.
My sister is Natalie's friend, yet Natalie hates me. When we were younger, both of us were Natalie's friends. But I was, and still am, a mischief-maker and Natalie accidentally got blamed for one of my more serious pranks. I found out about it and took all the blame so she didn't get punished, but she never forgave me. She was always telling me to behave, and that time I went a little to far.
Well I'm tall and of normal weight and I'm on the girls' soccer team. My sister is tall, very thin but not scrawny, and is in the school chorus. She's a lot prettier than I am, especially since she wears skirts and dresses every day. We all know she'll be a model.
Back to Trina. She's always avoiding social situations and no one really acknowledges her presence. In gym she doesn't change her clothes or participate at all. She never gets in trouble. Trina seems to be eternally angry with everyone just for existing. I don't know what her problem is, but she's especially nasty to Natalie and her friends. I've never seen her smile unless it was sarcastic or mean. She's just so… I don't know how to describe it. She's just… inhuman in a way.
Trina wears dark colors and only writes in black ink. She has a small necklace with a round black gemstone charm. She likes to rub it when she's pretending to be innocent of her actions. Trina is downright nasty.
I try to tell Natalie to stand up to her, but she just shoves me aside. I really want to know what's up with Trina, and I really think that it'll be important.
Hello there. I'm Bailey's little sister Savannah. Natalie calls me paranoid. But she doesn't know what I know. I have always had an overactive intuition, and I know the truth about Trina. Bailey is on to something with her suspicions, but I don't think she could even imagine the reality.
Trina's name is really Katrina; this was the name given to her in 1869. She is a demon; a curse set upon Natalie's family. But even I would never have dreamt up her creator. I am afraid to tell anyone, because I know that it may disrupt the future. I refuse to even admit to myself that it is real. It is the first time that I hope my intuition is wrong. I haven't told anyone of my ability, not even Bailey and Natalie.
Trina is not really evil; she is just lost and confused. But I know that I am not the one that must lead her away from the corruption she has come to dwell in. She just wants to rest in peace, away from the painful emotions in the world of the living. What can I do about this? Natalie ignores me when I tell her to listen to Bailey's warnings. I don't dare tell Lisa, she is extremely emotional. Bailey needs to figure it out on her own; she is already halfway there. My cousin Ashli will be coming to stay with us for three months, and I know that she had connections in the realm of the dead. She hasn't told me, but I know.
I fear for Natalie's life. All of our lives are at stake, yet I cannot tell a single soul about what I know. I just have to smile, laugh, and pretend that it was just a nightmare. But my visions are always true. And this battle will not be fought in the dream world. It will be fought here; blood will be spilled upon this ground. And I can only hope that we all get through it alive, despite what my heart tells me.
AN: Okay, it was kinda short, but I really want to get started with Natalie's next chapter. I have character profiles and sketches completed, and the plot is piecing itself together. If you don't like the new name, then I'll change it back or to something else. It's just that I originally had it all from Natalie's point of view, and you learned a whole lot more about her family's history, and the whole story behind Heather Kingston-North/Holly Civia. But when I changed it (which is because my computer erased the original copy of chapter two), Trina only mentioned Holly. Not much is said about why the curse was established. I'm hoping to get into that towards the end.
I hope you liked it, and if you did, please review. I would like to know if you all would like to see the sketches of the characters. It's just their heads and they look about ten years old, but I think they came out okay. So far I've drawn Savannah, Trina, Natalie, Bailey, Lisa, Dianne, and Ashli. Ashli is Savannah and Bailey's cousin; she'll come in later along with another important character and two semi-important ones.
PLEASE REVIEW! Please! I cannot live solely on praise for my little sketches. I need to know that my story isn't horrible. So please just review if you liked it. If you didn't, then flame. It won't kill me to hear someone say that they didn't like it. We are all entitled to our own opinion.
