Let's suppose for a minute that we can change the world into what we wanted it to be. Suppose, just for a second that you, through the power of thought, could single-handedly change the world we live in. What you would add or take away to make it better? If you had the power to change the impossible what, if anything would you change? Or would you just not bother?
Let's suppose that the world was made topsy-turvy. That instead of the daisies bowing to us, we bowed to them. And that we swam in the sky and the fish in the sea were the birds. What would the world look like if the mountains rose up the wrong way? If the peak was on the earth and the base hidden by the clouds? What if waterfalls didn't fall? What if they retreated backwards, slowly gushing up and over the rocks they once dived off?
Let's suppose that the dinosaurs weren't extinct. If they were still here today would they drive cars and take holidays to France and Spain? Would they treat each other as badly as we do? Would they kill and maim each other? Would they blow each other to pieces because they simply don't believe what others believe?
Let's suppose that the human race live in harmony with each other. That we don't fight, maim, rape and kill each other. Let's pretend that everyone has enough air to breathe, enough water to drink and enough food to eat. Let's pretend everyone has equal rights. Let's pretend that people far and near aren't brutally murdered every second. Let's pretend that children keep their innocence and grow up happy, unscathed by war and bombs and suffering. Let's pretend the world is a nice place.
Let's pretend because the truth hurts.
