at the dark, bleak December night
She started to remember things
she didn't want to remember
The nights of pain she had endured
By the hand of a man
she once had trusted
By the hand of a man
she once called her father
He'd hit her till she was black & blue
He'd kick her till she blacked out
The rape progressed steadily as years went on
with all the pain, lies, and tears
He'd come in her room and wake her up
He'd slap her around until she gave in
She took of her clothes and gritted her teeth
Wile the man who helped create her, broke her
When he was done and had been satisfied
He left her alone for only awhile
And now sitting here thinking of how it's been
"I can't take it any more," she thought
And as he walked in the door coming her break her again,
She took out the knife
Swiped the blade clean on both wrists
Bleeding she broke down to the floor
He yelled
He screamed
Lashing out kicking her limp body
She left the suffering of a
dark, bleak December.
