Dessert

How do you eat dessert
on a salted plate?
Rectangular pieces of sweet
that burns my throat.
they protect my core from being
scalded
shield my spirit from being
wounded, and
prevent my central from being found.

Light
has no effect on me
when
pitched against a starless sky.

A/N: If you thought that was just terrible, perhaps you may find a reason in this: I got the idea when having dinner with my family in a Chinese restaurant. I was supposed to have dessert on a plate that was stained with soy sauce, and I was thinking, "How the fuck do you eat dessert on a salted plate?" On my way home I happened to look up at the sky, and I noted that it was starless. I don't really know if there's a point to this little poem. Perhaps you could help me out?
