Unmasked

We hear their whispers, though they don't know

How it affects us - we don't show.

They all have doubts about our love,

Our words, they just are not enough.

Our shrouds and masks show us at peace,

But only we know what's underneath,

We face the world with a loving smile,

(But both of us know that our face's in denial)

It's because of a lonliness both of us share,

Since the distance between us is too much to bear,

Both time and geography seem all so long,

It's at times like this that our hope is all gone.

But Love, there's a reason to have joy in our hearts,

Because there's something between us that just cannot part,

That thing, when I tell you I'm sure you'll agree,

That it spans any distance, over land, over sea.

It makes some feel uncomfortable when it is shown,

But it can be a comfort when we're both alone,

Moments like now, when far is TOO far,

When being together- reality bars.

This thing, like you know, is my love for you,

It transcends mere infinifty, because it's so true,

Beyond that our love just cannot be bound,

To mere words of a poem (no matter how good it sounds!)

Have faith, my dear Cariad, Time's river flows fast,

Soon Solitude's enslavement wil be in our past,

Time's river flows slowly, but onwards you see,

Soon we'll be happy, entirely.

So if you feel down Cariad, heed these words of mine,

Rwy'n dy Caru di Cariad - Forever All time.
