For You

By Jessica

I had cut myself off.

I had come out, only to find

I was more trapped than ever.

I wandered, rejected and adrift,

Through dark nights in dark woods.

Then, like a light in the forest,

You came to me.

You bound my wounds,

Wiped my tears.

You made me see the light.

When the weight of the world

Crushes down on my shoulders,

You take it away and make me forget,

If only for a little while.

Folded in your arms like a child,

Tenderly comforted.

You are my Light,

My sun haired princess.

And I love you.
