5.13.04 - (New) Other Note: This is currently the third version of this story I've uploaded to . It is better and better and gods so much better than the past ones. Unfortunately, the version of Part II that is up here is much better, for it was written when I was a ninth- grader, as opposed to this, which was written in middle school. And, if you see random TM marks and such, please ignore them-I used special characters in the files, and they don't show up on .
IF YOU LIKE THIS STORY, (or if you don't), VISIT MY WEBCOMIC, WHICH IS A MUCH BETTER VERSION OF IT! TO VISIT THE COMIC, GO TO MY PROFILE, AND THEN TO MY HOMEPAGE. THANK YOU!

Part 1: The Boy and His Sword
It was said, in the Myth of the Gods, that when the Childlike Forest Spirit opened its eyes, it would not only destroy its self, but the whole world- for back when it was written, the world was one large forest called Lian, and the Spirit ruled it all. The High Mau that wrote the Myth sealed the Great Spirit into Seven Sacred Realms, believing that this action might help, and Seven Deities were appointed the job of making sure that the Spirit never reformed. Monô, the Deity of valiancy and loyalty guarded the Subterranean Nadir; Aqua-Ruûja, of patience and vigilance, guarded the Abyssal Depths; the twins Yami, of death and judgement, and Hikari, of life and judgement, guarded the New Moon's Shadow and the Full Moon's Light; the Deity of revolution and ages, Setsuna, guarded the Crypt of Time; Taiyou, of protection and love, guarded the Golden Sun; and last, Seingô, the Deity of power and strength, guarded the final Sacred Realm: the Heart of the Forest.
To further ensure the sevenths of the Spirit never coming together, Nine Constellations were set up into the sky. The Sphinx or the Guardian on the Peak (Lambda), the Serpent or the Watcher in the Water (Kappa), the Spider or the Hinderer in the Shadow (Upsilon), the Owl or the Seeker in the Moonlight (Epsilon), the Unicorn or the Keeper of the Clock (Tau), the Griffin or the Protector of the Dark (Omicron), and the Frog-Turtle or the Wisest in the Woods (Sigma). Those Seven Beast God Constellations each looked after one of the Seven Temples and the Seven Deities. Standing alone, were the Constellations Xi and Omega-the Savior of Ages and Destroyer of the Spirit.
As a result of its god being sealed, the Great Forest Lian began to diminish, and all that was left of it was the Forests of Shikaä-where lived the Shikaän elves-and the Arafel-a small wood up on the northernmost reaches of the Continent where the faeries dwelled.
Now that the Great Spirit's domain was limited to only the Forests of Shikaä, that country would, other than its self, be all that was destroyed when it opened its eyes. However, this posed a great threat to the Shikaän elves, for the End the Myth spoke of was getting closer.
