I knew I kept my feelings to myself, and sometime too much, but I at that point in time, what was happening was too important to just push away. My friends were there for me, but I didn’t ask for them when I needed them. I didn’t want to burden them with my sorrow. They seemed well enough with there own troubles, so why should I make their life worse?
They all were inside the cabin, a little away from where I was, one that tree alone. I managed to slip away from the crowd as they all were fascinated by Asuka’s way of rejecting the thought that she was the smallest of the whole bunch. Even though it was true, she was higher then them in other places, better then what they could ever imagine. Naga was caught up in all the excitement, but when she turned to talk to me, she was to face the window when she turned. Out there, she saw me alone, watching the sunset by the tree. She then slithered through the giddy people who were now just talking about trivial things.
Naga looked up the tree, I didn’t notice her, I was deep in thought, which most of the time I never wanted to get that deep, but other times, it didn’t really matter. Naga took one of her hands and firmly grabbed on to a branch and started her way up. When she was about half way up the tree, I noticed that it was moving around, more even then when the wind blew. I looked down to find before me, Naga.
“What are you doing up here all by yourself?â€
