Toji's Haiku, Series I

Toji's Haiku, Series I

These are just a bunch of haiku I wrote. I wasn't originally going to give them titles, but I decided to. The numbers underneath the title represent the month and year I wrote it, but not the day.

~Summer Night~
08.2000

A hot summer night
leaves in a tree sway softly
from a gentle breeze

~Slanted Tree~
08.2000

Tree slanted downwards
dew reaches up to the leaves
from grass on the ground

~Orange Skies~
08.2000

Orange skies
red leaves falling off
rest~seeking trees

~Still Night~
08.2000

Stillness in the night
the spring clouds spatter themselves
gently across the broad plain

~Morning Mist~
08.2000

Morning mist
I brush past bushes
soaked in dew

~Mid~Autumn Morning~
08.2000

Mid~autumn morning
a dark morning chill passes
near a fallen tree

~Bright Afternoon~
09.2000

Bright afternoon
lingering heat is blown away
by a cool breeze

~Pale Skies~
09.2000

Pale skies
dense mist rolls in
covering all

~Summer's Sun~
09.2000

Some falling red leaves
summer's sun still dominates
this grief-stricken day

~Bright Sun~
09.2000

The sun shines brightly
during lovely autumn days
this day is empty

~Shooting Star~
09.2000

A shooting star
blazes through the night
the day has died

~Peaceful Night~
09.2000

Peaceful autumn night
the starry sky reminds me
of my dear soul mate

After this last one, I've slowed down cause it's just about the 10th of the month. Why that is so significant, the world may never know. Oh well. That's enough for now.
