A/N: What is it about me and angsty morbid poetry? I’m not sure, but here it is anyways, dedicated to my friend cat-eyed-gypsy.

A Debt to Tears

Silver glinting beautifully

Blade I sharpened dutifully

I never thought I’d use it thus

Wasted on a worthless cuss

I’m ready now, prepared to die

I take a breath, withhold a sigh

In the light the knife is flashing

With this blade my wrists I’m slashing

My last goodbyes it’s time to say

To the tears my debt I pay

Too little I love, too much I hate

I toast to death, I greet my fate
