I still do

I remember how you'd talk to me,
persuading that , yes, I can,
How you'd smile at me,
Before the troubles began.

How you'd talk sweetly with grace,
How you'd laugh heartily,
How the joy would light your face,
And how it enticed me.

But now you're gone,
You couldn't take the truth,
Even though that went wrong,
I still love you.
Don't ask me why.

It's been a long time,
Since I saw that face,
Since the smile would make it's gentle rhyme,
And help me run the race.

I still miss your voice,
The voice that made me cheer,
Now I've no other choice,
But from afar your voice to hear.
