Purple Rose
by Fujita Toji

I still remember when you first gave me
The purple rose.
Noted for its rarity, you gave me it
As a symbol of our friendship,
Which grew into the love we share today.

Through hard and easy times,
You'd always be there.
I remember it all well,
As if it happened just yesterday.
You'd be right there by my side,
With a smile that would warm
The coldest of hearts.

If I could, I'd give you the world,
Because there is nothing in this world
That means more to me than you.

Distance is most against us
And maybe even time,
But I promise you:

There will be a day
When time and distance
Takes its shadow away.
Nothing will keep us apart.

I love you with all my heart.
Forever, even past the end of time,
Making eternity pass like seconds.
