The following week Gemini didn't really have time to pursue Jake or his feelings and suspicions toward his sexual preference. Instead he spent all his time practicing and training with weapons. Not just guns, but swords, knives, hooks, and all kinds of other things. At the beginning Gemini had been wondering why he had even wanted to do this. Now he knew. He wanted to help Jake be free. It didn't seem to matter that there was no more Earth branch for Psychics anymore. Freedom for the Earthlings was all that he wanted to do.

Gemini was finishing up his last day of weapons training when Jake came over to him.

"How are you doing, Gemini?" he asked.

"Oh, I'm pretty good," Gemini replied. "What about yourself?"

"Couldn't be better," Jake said. "Are you almost done here?"

"I am done," Gemini said. "Why?"

"You're going to start learning how to track and spy," Jake answered.

"Are you serious?"

"Very much so."

"I still don't know why I have to learn all these things."

"You wanted to learn how to fight and use weapons."

"Yes, but tracking and spying?" Gemini said. "What's next? Learning how to operate heavy machinery?"

"That would be so," Jake agreed.

"What is this? The military?"

"In a way, yes," Jake said. "This is a military."

"Okay, that's fine," Gemini fumed. "But why do I have learn all this stuff?"

"Because you'll need it when we go on our next mission."

"By the way, when are we going to get that computer so I can help you on this mission?"

"The mission is to get the computer."

"You need a mission to steal a computer?" Gemini scoffed.

"One that has complete access to everything about Crone, yes," Jake said.

"Oh, I get it," Gemini replied. "Sorry about saying that."

"It's okay."

"Well, let's get started."

Gemini spent the next two weeks going through the most terrible time in his life. All these things about tracking was absolutely horrible. The mud, the water, all of it. Gemini was so thankful when it ended. The spying part took more work than the tracking had. All that stuff about learning to be silent and very careful drove Gemini nuts. But when he did get caught, his fighting and weapon skills were handy to get him out of those situations.

The beginning of the second week was when he learned how to use the machines that would help the fighters in getting away from Crone. It took some time because these suckers were really hard to operate, but thanks to his memory, he only needed to be shown once. And when he spent the rest of the week proving he could do it, the stop training because they knew he was ready.

In the evening of his first free day since he had come to join them, the plans were being made to steal the computer. The leaders of all the divisions of the freedom fighters were in the conference room along with Gemini who represented and lead the group of Psychics who were in the camp to help beat Crone.

"All right, how many people should we be taking in each group?" Jake asked.

"Well," George said. "I think at least four operators including myself should go."

"Do you know who you will be taking?"

George nodded. "My best ones. I have complete confidence in them."

"Good," Jake replied. "How about you, Ceria? How many hackers?"

"Just myself and John," Ceria said.

"Jimmy? How many spies?"

"Three," Jimmy replied. "That's all I'll need."

"Samantha? How many trackers?"

"Four."

Jake nodded. "And Gemini, how many Psychics?"

"Two, including myself."

"Will that be enough?"

"A P-1 and two P-2s?" Gemini asked. "We could handle anything Crone could throw at us."

"I'll take your word for it," Jake replied. "I'll be bring four fighters, five including myself. One for each group."

"I don't know why you need five," Gemini said. "I know how to fight."

"But you'll be busy using your power," Jake reminded him.

"Oh yeah," Gemini said.

"I'll be with the Psychics," Jake declared. "Then I'll disperse the other fighters among the groups. Everyone all ready knows where were going and what were doing so there will be no need to go over that. I'll see you all in the morning."

The leaders left the cabin and Jake and Gemini headed back to their hut.

"Do you think everything will go well, Jake?" Gemini asked.

"I think so," Jake replied. "But I should be asking you that question, not vice versa."

"Sorry, couldn't answer it anyway," Gemini admitted. "I have no premonition power."

"Ah," Jake said.

They stepped into the house and Gemini prepared the evening meal. After they had eaten, they went to bed. Gemini prayed that nothing would happen the next day.
