Shattered

As I stare at you from afar

Tears threatening to spill

Words so harshly said

Actions wrongly done

I can't bear to see you so far

Your mask so perfect around others

Your cold stare at me

False laughter

Ringing through my ears

I walk away

Not knowing what else to do

I lost you as a friend

But sadly of all

That day

Part of my heart shattered

Never to be healed

Again
