Okay folks, this is how it is. I own this. You do not. I own ALL these twisted little people, and their friends. I own these situations. I own this WHOLE F'ed up story. I am lord and master of all this whole little universe. DO NOT USE IT WITHOUT PERMISSION! If you do, I will be forced to curse and shout, and make myself an annoyance in general. I am poor, but I can still make you regret your actions! That said, please enjoy.

Chapter one: Down pour

Leon looked at his ceiling, confused and alone. ~What did I do wrong... Why did this happen to me? ~ He sighed and rolled onto his stomach, burying his face in his pillow. ~I never asked for this! I just want to be normal! WHY CAN'T I BE NORMAL FOR ONCE?!~ Memories of a week ago flooded his mind, an uncontrollable torrent.

-*-"We're through!" Lindsey cried. There were tears in her eyes as she stormed away, frustrated, and tired of trying to make Leon the perfect boyfriend.

Leon could only watch her go, stunned into silence. "..."

"You don't have to be like everyone else, you know..." Kind eyes, blue like the ocean. perfect smile. soft, kissable lips. a shy but loyal maybe more. "I'll support you, no matter what. I'm here for you Leon."-*-

Leon sat up and shook his head. Things had gotten bad by the time he and Lindsey had broken up. But that was no reason to. They were friends, nothing more. It would never work between them. He flopped back down on his bed and shut his light off. He would deal with his emotions in the morning.

***

+One week ago...+

Leon watched Lindsey walk away, confused. He stood there for several minutes, even though she had long disappeared down the road. It wasn't until it started raining that he noticed he was still staring down the street, people rushing past him as it began to pour.

"Are you okay?" a soft voice asked from behind.

Leon turned and came face to face with a Goth holding an umbrella over his head. "Huh?"

The Goth smiled slightly. "I asked: Are you okay? You've been standing out here in the rain for quite a while."

"Oh! I-I'm fine. I just uh. I was just enjoying the rain, that's all." Leon shoved his hands in his pockets, and started to walk away.

"Oh. Hey! You want to get a hot chocolate or something?" The black haired Goth ran after him and held the umbrella over Leon's head. "You look like you could use some warming up. It gets really cold out here when it rains."

Leon turned to the Goth. "I've noticed." He sighed. "It wasn't like this in B.C."

The Goth smiled. "Welcome to Ontario. By the way, my name's Mikado. I'm from the base in Ottawa."

"I'm Leon, from the base in B.C." Leon smiled slightly. "Nice outfit, by the way."

Mikado laughed sheepishly. "I know, it's kinda weird. But I like dressing like this. I'm expressing myself."

Leon laughed. "Whatever. Hey, I'm new to this part of town. Where's the nearest Timhorton's?"

"By the bridge. I'll show the way. It's only about a block from here."

"Then let's go, Mikado. I'm freezing!"

+Next Monday, 1 minute before first period. Trenton High.+
"Leeeeeooooooonnnn! Waaaaiiiiitt! Ahhh! Slow down!" Mikado raced after Leon down the school's halls. It was the first day of school for Leon, and Mikado had promised to show him around. If he slowed down some, anyway...

Leon spun around and waved at Mikado. "Hurry up! My grandmother is faster than you!" he laughed and kept running.

~No chance of him slowing down now...~

They raced through the class doors just as the bell rang. The teacher glared at them, but didn't say anything. Which was to be expected from a deaf teacher. The day it's self went on as such: Mikado would show Leon something, and Leon would laugh, sigh, yawn, or say how different things were from his old school. Mikado would point out that Trenton high was a small town high school, and continue the tour.

It seemed they would be getting along quite well.
