As our relationship slowly progressed
I started to realize that I was blessed
But then I thought you wanted me no more
My heart shattered to bits, right on the floor
You said our relationship wouldn't work
I defended you when you were labeled a worthless jerk
Then, suddenly, you came back to me
In your hand, was my hearts only key
I knew we were in love and it was the best
You loved me as I was slowly undressed
You gave me your ring and held my hand
That's the moment I thought "Isn't life grand?"
But then you screwed it up again
The tears cascaded down my chin
You said that you loved me but we were through
Everything my friend said was completely true
I used to wish we could've stayed together
But I know I'll love you, always and forever
