This will be the last chapter.

Oh my God thank you all sooo much for reviewing me throughout this whole story. I love you all so much, you always made my day brighter. I love you all soo much and there is no way I can express this. You have all been so loyal to my story and I. Thank you all so much, and I hope this ending satisfies you all. Keep checking back here, I might have a sequel to this story, and I definitely have another story coming out, possibly called Brahm's Lullaby. I'd love all of your input on it, because I'm not too sure about it, just that I really like it myself. Ha, that's a good enough reason to post it, right? Lol

Well, *cries* I guess this is goodbye to this story.I'll miss you all!
The sun was beginning to slowly dip down the sky. Jay and I trudged out of the water and lay on the sand together, his arms around me. The sand stuck to my skin and Jay brushed it off of me gently, his hands traveling down my arms and then stopping at my hands. Our fingers interlocked and I leaned against his chest, resting the back of my head on his shoulder.

"Bronwyn?" he whispered.

"What are we?" he asked carefully.

Confused, I asked, "What do you mean Jay?"

"I mean," he sighed. "Are we Jay and Bronwyn or, are we a we?" there was a pause-not an awkward silence but just a pause. It was silent except for the lapping of the waves at the water edge and the beating of two hearts.

"I want to be a we." I said softly, barely audible. I could barely hear myself, and was surprised when he answered back; surprised he had heard me.

"So do I." I looked down at our hands, my small hands with long fingers, and his larger, stronger ones. How different they were, but how good they looked together, I thought.

How good they looked together.

Suddenly I noticed little things about Jay and I. Like how comfortable I was, leaning against him. And how my head seemed to fit so perfectly on his shoulder. And how his touch made my heart race. And how his scent made me smile. And how his smile made me melt. And how his fingertips made me want him to touch me more. And how comfortable I felt with him. And how I felt so safe with him. And how protected I felt when I was with him. And how much I wanted him to do all those things that drove me crazy- how I wanted my shoulder to fit on his shoulder, and how I wanted him to make my heart race. And how I wanted to feel comfortable with him. And how much I wanted to love him, and how much I wanted him to love me back.

I just realized how good we looked together. As a couple.

"I want to show you something." Jay whispered into my ear, giving me goose bumps. He rose from the sand and gave me his hand, helping me up off the sand. "You should put on your sandals." I slipped them on and he put his on as well, and he led me off down the beach, hand in hand.

He led me into the woods, and we walked in them for no more than five minutes and emerged again on another strip of beach. It looked like no one had been there, though, because the sand was smooth and there weren't any footprints in that area. We climbed onto a rock with coral all over it. It jutted into my hand as I stumbled and Jay reached down to catch me. "You okay?" he asked, concerned.

"Yea, I'm fine. Where are you taking me?" I asked, and he smiled in the dusk, continuing on.

"Close your eyes." He ordered, and I could hear his smile. I closed my eyes and took his hand. He led me down further, and then stopped. "Okay, open." I did, and what I saw took my breath away.

The sun was exploding in a fury of reds and oranges. The water was glittering with it, and the horizon was multiple autumn colors. Yellows and oranges and reds lined the horizon and the sun was a glowing red, almost a bright pink. Below us was a lagoon, and coral green water filled it. The ocean waves broke over the edge of the lagoon, crashing over it in a wonderful spray. We stood there, watching the sun dip below the horizon in a blaze of red. Darkness took over and soon the moon came out, a bright white sliver against the velvet black sky. Stars glittered like diamonds thrown randomly into the sky, landing in a pattern of perfection.

"Oh my god Jay." I gasped. "It's beautiful." I turned to him.

"I know." he whispered, pulling me close to him. He hadn't been looking at the sunset, but instead he had been looking at me. I smiled as Jay pulled me into a kiss, but right before our lips touched, he pulled away, teasing me.

"Come on." He jumped down into the water in one swift movement, and held out his hand. "Jump in, it's not that deep. I'll catch you."

I reached down for his hand, and when I found it I squeezed it. He squeezed back, and then I went to jump in, but hesitated.

"Don't you trust me?" I looked down at him and smiled lovingly, jumping down into the water. The sand on the bottom was soft and billowed up around my feet. The water here was only a little over my waist and Jay led me over to the middle by his hand.

I gave a little laugh, wrapping my arms around his neck and my leg around his a little. My hips were pressed up against his, and he looked down at me, his lips touching mine. "Bronwyn-" he said huskily into them, not kissing me but not separating them.

"Yes." I cut in, putting a finger to his lips. He kissed it, and I let it leave his lips and run down his chest until my hand found his in the salty water. "I do trust you. I promise" I leaned up, and he brought his lips to mine in a sweet act that sealed that promise forever. And my mind was filled with thoughts and hopes, memories and wishes. It had been an amazing road trip, and the promise of a wonderful summer was strong.

At the end of the month, I realized suddenly, we had to leave this wonderful place. We still had to drive home, and I smiled. Another road trip lay before us.
