Run Away!
Chapter 4First Look
A/N: Um, heh heh, I just discovered that I actually do have two reviews. OK. So now it stands like so:
FANS: 1 HATERS:0
So far it's all good. Now, review!
Rachel had seen something in Alex she hadn't noticed before. Actually, it was probably nothing. He was just nice to her. That was all. Nothing more. Geez, she couldn't even convince herself…
She wrote in her journal:
Dear Journal.
Alex ran away. He came here. We had a fight. I apologized. So did he.
Well, isn't just like me to make a very eventful day sound dreadfully boring? Well, after we made up, for some strange reason, I wished we were making out instead. EEEEEWW! Actually, Alex is quite cute. I just might like him…
Rachel
Rachel smiled. Alex was cute. But he would never be interested her now, anyways…Chuck had asked her out on a date. (A/N: Remember Chuck Gaston? Yep, same guy.)
Suddenly, Alex came into the living room. Rachel panicked and slammed her journal shut.
"Are you okay?" asked Alex, sitting next to her.
Rachel got a weird feeling in her stomach.
"Yes, I'm fine…" Rachel started. Then she heard a dreadful sound…the sound of her mom's car pulling up into the driveway.
"That's my mom!" hissed Rachel. "HIDE!"
"Where do I go?" Alex asked while Rachel shoved him out of the living room.
"I don't know-ANYWHERE!" said Rachel and slammed the sliding door in his face.
His screams were muffled by the door and Rachel sprinted back into the living room and sat on the couch, panting.
"Hi honey…" her mom paused. "What's that smell? HONEY! EXCUSE YOURSELF!" Her mom turned around muttering something about hygiene.
Rachel didn't smell anything, but she figured Alex would explain later when she asked him.
"Uh…bye Mom!" Rachel said, slowly backing away. When her mom was out of sight Rachel turned around and ran upstairs to her room.
She slammed the door behind her and said "ALEX WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"Over here," said a frightened voice. She went over to the other side of her room. Sure enough, there was Alex, hiding behind the fan, shivering, sucking his thumb. "I'm scared," he said in the most pitiful voice Rachel had ever heard. Alex grabbed a teddy bear and hugged it. "My precious."
Rachel was officially freaked out and snatched the teddy bear out of his hand. Alex looked like he was about to cry, but he didn't.
"Get up," she said, holding out her hand. "Here,"
Alex stared at her, but took Rachel's hand anyway. She pulled him up to his feet.
"God, you're heavy…" said Rachel. Then she looked into his eyes. This was a big mistake.
It was like a trance she couldn't get out of. Alex seemed to feel that way too. Her stomach felt like it was twisted in knots.
They stared at each other for a long time. Then finally her mom knocked on the door and said "Rachel, are you doing your homework?" Alex bent down and Rachel went to her desk.
"Yeah, Mom," she called back. At least that was one thing Alex didn't have to worry about, Rachel thought as she sighed.
Homework.
A/N: And so ends another chapter of Run Away. See the little spark between them? Yeah, that's why this a partly romance story! Wow, I posted two chapters in one day…I'm SOOOOO amazing…OK, um, review, please.
